This snippet gives a complete detailed historical and political context for the situation in Goma city.
Just take a look at PYQs (like 2022,2023 and so many) and you will realise that events like coups, rebel activity have become the new favourite of UPSC.
The best part about such topics is that they are very easy to learn (if you know the historical context) and this is why the snippets which I post will give you a fair understanding of such current affairs topics.
Just do your part by quickly going through these snippets and not saving them for later whose time may never come.

Value Addition for Mains
The case study can be used in E-Governance(GS2) , in Agriculture (GS3), in Efficient Leadership(GS4).
For Mains, you don’t need an example or case study for every new question. Rather keep things limited and use the same thing in multiple places as per the question.
Read the article first, and think of at least two more applications of this example across any paper.

These are 9 questions that have reflected in UPPSC 2025 PRELIMS held on 12 October from our 2 pager notes of 60 days
Just From our last 2 months current affairs notes , these are not exactly current affairs questions as 2 months current affairs before exam date are not that much important for State exams but yet hits in exam, how??
This is just to show that static part behind the Current affairs is also very important. And with our experience we have nailed it! All we need from you is read 2 pages a day in depth!
You will find that even the highlighted part of topic has given 3 question exacts, now you can see that how much your part of work we are reducing.

✅ Day 10: Diagramification of your Mains Answer
🏹Theme: Cybercrime- UPSC's favourite child. It keeps appearing in Mains again and again... and that's exactly the trap. On a favourite theme, the entire hall has content. Everyone writes IT Act, everyone writes CERT-In. When information is common, presentation is the only differentiator left.
📊These two bars are your edge: cyber attacks in India more than DOUBLED in just two years- 10.2 to 22.6 (NCRB 2024). And the economic bite, ₹22,495 crore lost to cybercrimes in 2024 alone. Draw the first bar to show the scale of the threat, the second to show its economic dimension- digital frauds, terror financing, critical infrastructure.
📌Yesterday's theme was rare- surprise value. Today's is famous- differentiation value. Different logic, same weapon: the diagram.

🚨 DAY 26: 30 DAYS ETHICS ENRICHMENT SERIES
📚 Topic: Environment Ethics
📖 Meaning:
Environmental Ethics is a branch of ethics that explores the moral relationship between humans and the natural environment, considering the ethical implications of environmental policies, human actions, and the preservation of nature.
Various Approaches to Environmental Ethics:
1. Anthropocentrism (Human-Centered Approach): It places humans at the center of environmental ethics, viewing nature primarily in terms of how it benefits humanity. It assumes that humans have moral value and rights, and nature should be protected only insofar as it serves human interests.
2. Biocentrism (Life-Centered Approach):
Biocentrism extends moral consideration to all living organisms, not just humans. It asserts that all forms of life—plants, animals, and ecosystems—have intrinsic value and deserve moral consideration.
3. Ecocentrism (Ecosystem-Centered Approach): Ecocentrism expands the scope of moral consideration even further, beyond individual species to the entire ecosystem. It emphasizes the interconnectedness of all living and non-living components of the environment, such as air, water, soil, and climate.
4. Deep Ecology: Deep ecology is a philosophical movement that advocates for a radical change in how humans view and relate to nature. It calls for a fundamental shift in human consciousness, prioritizing the well-being of the earth and all living things over human exploitation of the environment.
5. Ecofeminism: Ecofeminism links environmental degradation to the exploitation of women, arguing that the oppression of women and the destruction of nature are interconnected and both arise from patriarchal systems of power.
6. Stewardship (Conservation Ethics):
Stewardship is the ethical principle that humans have a responsibility to protect and manage the natural world, not only for their own benefit but as caretakers of the earth for future generations.
7. Sustainable development: It focuses on the ability to meet present needs without compromising the ability of future generations to meet their own needs. It combines social, economic, and environmental considerations to create a balanced approach to growth.
💬 Key Quote:
"The Earth is what we all have in common." - Wendell Berry
👉 Application:
1️⃣ Use this in questions related to Environment Conservation etc.
2️⃣ In Case Studies, justify your action by saying that "I will apply the principles of ecofeminism/stewardship, etc. to arrive at an ethical decision."
Hit ❤️ if you found this useful.

Repost from UPSC CSE Topper by Vikas Dhayal
The exact source for Buddhism questions from where UPSC asks atleast one question every year was revealed in this video.
👇👇👇👇👇👇👇👇👇👇
https://youtu.be/GngIjSljLCM
👆🏼These are short notes for Buddhism and Jainism from that chapter.
The Video was recorded before Prelims last year and in 2023 Prelims the question on Jainism was still a word by word repetition from the chapter mentioned in the video.
Good chances that You'll see something getting asked directly from this PDF this year as well.

I don't generally share my poems here, but then I felt why not? Further, this is in no way a reflection of my reality but rather a general feeling we all go through in our lifes, sometimes most likely an exaggeration by our own self sabotaging minds.
I guess it's been enough time since results now, we should eventually decide to move on and get on with our lifes. Be it preparing again or doing whatever you want. Start with energy but with learnings, do not repeat the same mistakes. All the best.
