Estrogen secreted by theca cell of ovarian follicle, have following function- Estro- gen promotes development and maintenance of female reproductive system (so deficiency may cause atrophic vaginitis). Development of second- ary sexual characteristics and breast. It increases protein anabolism (formation) like growth hor mone.
