How Many People Have You Heard Of Like This?
Ash-Shaykh Muhammad Ibn Saalih Al-'Uthaymeen, may Allaah have mercy upon him. Explanation of Riyaadhus-Saaliheen, Hadeeth regarding the first of people to be judged on the Day of Judgement.
Our Shaykh, Al Hāfidh, Al-Muhaddith, Abū 'Amr 'Abdulkareem Al-Hajoori - may Allah preserve him - said:
“The more a person has:
📌 Weakness in Imān
📌 Weakness in religion
📌 Weakness in piety
Then the Shaytān befriends them, and he makes a fool out of them. Some people, the Shaytān makes a fool out of them until he does with them whatever he wishes.”

◾️The Decree of Allāh in regards to the afflictions◾️
Our Shaykh, Al Hāfidh, Al-Muhaddith, Abū 'Amr 'Abdulkareem Al-Hajoori - may Allah preserve him - was asked:
📩 Question:
How do we reconcile between the two verses:
⁃ {And if some good reaches them, they say, "This is from Allah," but if some evil befalls them, they say, "This is from you (O Muhammad SAW)." Say: "All things are from Allah,}
⁃ {Whatever of good reaches you, is from Allah, but whatever of evil befalls you, is from yourself.}
📝 Answer:
The way the reconcile between the two is that the first ayah, {Say: All things are from Allāh}, is like the ayah {Verily, We have created all things with Qadar (Divine Preordainments)}
So whatever afflicts you from good or evil, then it is all by the decree of Allāh.
As for the statement of Allāh, {Whatever of good reaches you, is from Allah, but whatever of evil befalls you, is from yourself.}, meaning it is because of you [i.e because of your sins].
So whatever you have done from sins, disobedience, and whatever has afflicted you from illnesses and the removal of blessings, this is because of your sins. Saying that, it is still from Allāh because it is He who decreed it.
So it is not solely from you, but rather Allāh decreed it, and Allah decrees good and evil.

You Either Come Out As Gold Or Filth
'Abdul-Qaadir Al-Jilaanee stated:
"O my son, the calamity hasn't come to destroy you, it has only come to test your patience and faith. The calamity is the bellow of the servant, therefore, he either comes out as gold or filth."

Allaah Isn't Testing You In Order To Destroy You
Al-Imaam Ibn Qayyim Al-Jawziyyah, may Allaah have mercy upon him:
"Allaah, Subhaanahu wa Ta’aalaa, does not test the servant in order to destroy him. He only tests him in order to test his patience and servitude."

Your Trials Are From The Biggest Of Blessings You Have
Al-Imaam Ibn Qayyim Al-Jawziyyah, may Allaah have mercy upon him:
وضع الله المصائب والبلايا والمحن رحمةً بين عباده يُكفِّرُ بها من خطاياهم، فهي من أعظم نِعَمهِ عليهم وإن كرهتها أنفسُهم
"Allaah placed calamities and trials [in this world] as a mercy for His servants which He uses to atone for their sins. So they are from His greatest of blessings upon them even if they dislike them."

Al-Imaam Ibn Qayyim Al-Jawziyyah, may Allaah have mercy upon him:
أَن النَّفس لَا تزكو وَتصْلح حَتَّى تمحص بالبلاء كالذهب الَّذِي لَا يخلص جيده من رديئه حَتَّى يفتن فِي كبر الامتحان
Indeed the soul does not purify and fix itself until it is tested with affliction, similar to gold that cannot rid of its inferior (composition) from its superior, until it is drawn through the forging process.

Punish Your Shaytaan Or Be Punished By Him
Al-Imaam Ibnul-Qayyim, may Allaah have mercy upon him:
“Whoever does not torture his shaytaan in this life by the remembrance of Allaah (the Most High), singling Him out with all acts of worship (tawheed), seeking His forgiveness, and obeying Him, his shaytaan will torture him in the Hereafter with the punishment of the Fire. So it's a must that everyone punishes their shaytaan, otherwise their shaytaan will punish them."

Some Of The Rights Of A Muslim Over Another Muslim
Abuu Hurayrah (رضي الله عنه) narrated that the Messenger of Allaah (ﷺ) said:
"A Muslim has six rights over another Muslim." It was said, what are they oh Messenger of Allaah? He said: "When you meet him, you should give him salaam; when he invites you, accept his invitation; when he asks for your advice, give it to him; when he sneezes and praises Allaah, say 'may Allaah have mercy upon you (يَرْحَمُكَ الله)'; when he is ill, visit him; and when he dies, follow his funeral."
