A poet
I once dated a poet,
And her eyes lit up everytime
When she talked about words,
Words that worth more than a dime
She speaks to me fondly,
Of talents and passion
She crave Words and depth,
They became my obsession.
All the words she gathered,
All the words she wrote
They spread out their wings,
To me & others thought I liked her spirit,
Also saw no hope on her eyes
She has wasted half of her life,
Stringing words with her hands .
A tireless human being,
Destined always for paper
Often forgot about life,
Then afterward she remembers
The saddest word she said,
In the whole wide world was almost
She was almost in love with me,
But that is where she lost.
Lost me in the desert,
With the thirst of water
Left me with teardrops,
She broke my heart into shatter
To her love was about poem,
Her heart hadn't looked much further.
I know I didn't quite belong here,
On her poetry cover.
She walked on words to places,
Her two feet had never been
I wish she knew I was magic,
That her eyes never seen.

The idea of you
i think i fell in love with the idea of you and not you
just the idea of you by my side,
the idea of your hands in mine,
the idea of us being together,
the idea of u dancing with me,
the idea of pretty much everything but you.
i couldn't be convinced otherwise because when I looked back,
all i could see was me being hurt
and u letting that happen
but I couldn't leave
for i knew i liked u
or the idea of you
but whatever it was
it was too strong for me to actually break things apart.
