#Mizan-Tepi #University has colourfully celebrated the #17th #round students' graduation ceremony on February 8, 2017 E.C.   On the occasion, the Chairman of the Board of mizan-Tepi University and honourable guest of the day, H.E. Dr. Fissiha Yitagesu, Executive Director Ethiopian Industrial Parks development, dignitary members of the Board, and invited senior government officials were attended the ceremony.   The President of Mizan-Tepi University, Dr. Waqo Geda, has delivered a congratulatory opening speech to the graduates and guests; and the honourable guest of the day has conveyed a message for the graduates of the day.   The majority of the graduates were students from College of Medicine and Health Sciences who successfully completed their undergraduate regular and continuing programs. 394 students have graduated in total in the undergraduate and post-graduate programs, including social sciences, agriculture and natural resource science, business and economics, engineering and technology, natural and computational science, and computing and informatics.   #Finally Mizan-Tepi University offered scholarship opportunity fot 2 gold medalist students (1 male and 1 female) to pursue their post graduate studies in the University.

Research and community Engagement V/President office of Mizan-Tepi University has provided a capacity building training on technology innovation, startup, business incubation and intellectual property right for the instructors participated from all departments of colleges and schools of MTU. ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- The training includes supporting the advance of startups that can commercialize innovative ideas and technologies. The V/President office helps in aspiring entrepreneurs steer the challenges of starting a business, from conceptualization to funding and commercialization. In line with this Structure of working is established so as to help students, trainers, instructors and researchers, collaborative institutions and individuals to flourish and develops the skills of entrepreneurship. Dr. Girma Tilahun, V/president for research and Community Engagement of MTU, highlighted the importance of the training and encouraged instructors and students engage actively in bringing new technological ideas and develop in the MTU incubation Center. He added the commitment of his office in supporting the initiative with resources and guidance. Here is an invitation for talented students and teacher to this ICT competition before last submission date August-13-2021. For the first time Huawei is introducing ICT Competition Innovation Contest under #ICTCompetition2021 in Ethiopia. Students can team up and submit innovative ideas to solve real life problem.
