German authorities are still searching for a man accused of yesterday’s van attack near Berlin’s Pride festival, which killed one person and injured many others before he allegedly attacked more people with a machete in what officials believe was an Islamist terror attack. Authorities issued a wanted notice for Abdul Ballout, a German citizen of Lebanese descent, warning that he may be armed and dangerous. Officials said he is a “radicalized” member of “Islamist circles” in Berlin. He had previously been sentenced to one year and 10 months in prison, though authorities did not say what the conviction was for. “Everything we see here points to us dealing with an Islamic terror attack,” Interior Minister Alexander Dobrindt said.
