Kids demonstrate the effectiveness of the Roman Testudo (tortoise) formation. This is the kind of thing children should be learning in school. I didn’t discover anything like this until I started reading historians like John Keegan and Victor Davis Hanson on my own time. Real history, survival skills, maps and navigation, construction and engineering, sharpshooting. How much of our kids’ time would be better spent like this?
