I believe Steve Witkoff is a good guy. He has honorable intentions. And that the U.S. is trying to avoid wars - if it can. That’s all fine and noble.
But cannot underscore how deeply disappointing some of his comments were on Tucker Carlson (himself an extremist, conspiracy theorist and enabler of America’s enemies).
There is no rationalizing with Hamas. Qatar is not an honest broker. Putin is unequivocally the bad guy. Iran is the root cause of the region’s ills. We need to be crystal clear.

2 brave Canadians stand up to masked Hamas thugs in Toronto who repeatedly call the Canadians “Nazis” and to leave Canada.
Unless Canadians start standing up & confronting these terrorist sympathizers, they will eventually be forced to leave Canada.
Israeli airstrike targets Najha town in Damascus countryside.
Statement by Lebanese Member of Parliament Ghassan Hasbani: If the Lebanese army does not take Hezbollah's weapons by force or by agreement as soon as possible, then Israel must dismantle the organization in southern Lebanon, and in eastern Lebanon, the new Syrian regime will dismantle it by force, according to Ghassan Hasbani, a member of the Christian Forces in Lebanon.
Hezbollah: "We deny any involvement in the rocket fire from southern Lebanon towards Israel. Hezbollah reiterates its commitment to the ceasefire agreement"
High-ranking ISIS and al-Qaeda militants released from al-Rai prison; no raid, no breakout, just… gone.

The Lebanese army announces that it has located the launchers used in this morning's barrage of fire at Metula and claims that they are improvised, home-made launchers. (A wooden plank with a timer attached to it.)
Defense Minister Israel Katz following the firing from Lebanon towards Israel:
We will not allow the reality of firing from Lebanon on the Galilee communities. We promised security to the Galilee communities - and that is exactly what will happen. The law of Metula is the same as the law of Beirut. The Lebanese government bears responsibility for any firing from its territory.
I have instructed the IDF to respond accordingly.
In response to the rockets launched from southern Lebanon - IDF is firing artillery shells.
Germany has seized the tanker Eventin, which was operating for Russia “shadow fleet.”
According to a seizure order from Germany’s main customs office, the tanker, along with the 100,000 tons of crude oil on board, now becomes German property.
The oil is worth about 40 million euros.
A UN worker was injured in Gaza and is now being treated in an Israeli hospital where they found huge Nazi tattoos on his arms: Meine Ehre heißt Treue ("My honor is [called] loyalty") was the official motto of the SS from 1931 to 1945.)
Israel is demanding an investigating by the UN. This is the UN and Gaza’s true colors—modern day Nazis.
There’s a sense among the public as if we’ve done nothing during the 17 months of war, and that Hamas is standing on its feet just like on day one. Beyond the fact that this kind of talk is a degrading insult to the fallen and the soldiers of the IDF, it’s simply not factually true.
Today’s Hamas is a shadow of the organization that launched nearly 4,000 rockets in a single morning on October 7th. It still has operatives thanks to money from humanitarian aid (thank you, Biden), but most of them are untrained and poorly armed.
Its stockpiles of heavy weapons have been almost completely depleted, and the prices of rifles, pistols, and bullets in the Gaza Strip have skyrocketed due to severe shortages. Except for small-scale weapons smuggling via drones, Hamas is barely able to rearm.
It now relies mostly on improvised explosives made from remnants of IDF bombs and shells. Yes – we will have casualties in the maneuver to capture the Strip. But their number will be significantly lower than in the first ground operation, both because the IDF is about to act with an unprecedented level of aggression, and because today’s Hamas is a dying remnant compared to the terrorist organization that started the war on October 7th.

Sudan's Army retakes control of the Presidential Palace in central Khartoum from RSF militias after two years.
The maneuvering IDF forces destroyed a Hamas command compound in the “Turkish hospital” in the Gaza Strip.
