That same Pakistan - deeply entangled in Iran’s nuclear development - is positioning itself as a “neutral mediator” between Trump and Tehran. Why? Because it has clear interests - a long border with Iran - a significant Shia population at home (around 15-20%) - a severe economic crisis - and a desire to secure American aid in exchange for “stability,” while avoiding sanctions as a partner of Iran. This is less mediation and more a smokescreen designed to preserve whatever remains of Iran’s nuclear progress. Iran seeks breathing room to continue enrichment. Pakistan seeks legitimacy and economic relief. The US (under Trump) seeks the appearance of diplomatic progress - rather than direct confrontation. All parties understand each other - and each knows who is deceiving whom and when. The real question is whether Trump will choose to accept some of these deceptions in order to secure a deal. For Israel, the implication is clear: Do not trust “Pakistani guarantees.” Do not trust a “two-week ceasefire.” The reality on the ground - enrichment, missiles, proxies - outweighs any declarations made in Islamabad. Those who enabled Iran’s nuclear capabilities cannot suddenly become their gatekeepers. This paradox is a reminder: in geopolitics, there are no friends - only interests. And for Israel, the interest must remain singular: preventing a nuclear Iran at all costs - even if it means friction with Trump, should he be drawn into the Pakistani trap. (Shlomo Filber)

Pakistan - the thief who became the policeman - and now also the mediator While Israel continues to operate in Lebanon, talks between the US and Iran are set to begin in Islamabad. Who is hosting? Pakistan - the country that possesses the first Islamic nuclear bomb. A brief reminder of Pakistan’s nuclear history: Pakistan deceived the world about its nuclear program and, in 1998, successfully developed its first nuclear weapon. The architect of the program, Abdul Qadeer Khan, later established a “black market network” that proliferated nuclear technology and expertise to multiple countries - including Iran. In the early 2000s, he supplied Iran with hundreds of P-1 and P-2 centrifuges, along with blueprints and critical know-how - precisely what accelerated Iran’s nuclear program during its most formative years. Iran learned from Pakistan how to “buy time” with the West - how to construct underground facilities - and how to transition from sanctions to deterrence as a threshold nuclear state. And now?

Operation “Eternal Darkness” – What We Know So Far Approximately 48 hours ago, during Israel’s ongoing military campaign in Lebanon against Hezbollah, reports began to surface of a highly sophisticated operation known as “Eternal Darkness.” The strikes are believed to have taken place within a very narrow time window – approximately 10 minutes – likely during the early morning hours, maximizing operational surprise. While no full official briefing has been released by the IDF, multiple credible sources indicate that this was a coordinated Israeli strike targeting Hezbollah’s command infrastructure across southern Lebanon and possibly additional locations. This was not just another strike. It appears to have been a highly coordinated, intelligence-driven decapitation operation aimed at the very heart of the enemy’s command-and-control system. ▪️ The Target The primary objective was the C2 (command and control) network – including hidden and alternative headquarters that were prepared in advance for wartime continuity. Reports indicate that dozens – possibly around 100 – command centers were struck within minutes. ▪️ The Intelligence Breakthrough Such precision suggests a major intelligence achievement:    •   Deep SIGINT penetration    •   HUMINT integration    •   Possible cyber and electronic warfare support This level of access points to real-time intelligence and the exposure of previously concealed command structures. ▪️ Execution The strikes were carried out in a very short time window – approximately 10 minutes – indicating:    •   Preloaded target banks    •   Rapid sensor-to-shooter loops    •   High-level synchronization across multiple platforms This resembles a focused “shock and awe” doctrine – but directed specifically at leadership and command nodes. ▪️ What Makes It Different Unlike previous operations that targeted operatives or infrastructure, this operation focused on:    •   Commanders    •   Decision-making hubs    •   System-wide disruption In other words: not just hitting targets – but collapsing the system. ▪️ Strategic Meaning If the reports are accurate, this operation temporarily blinded and paralyzed the enemy’s ability to:    •   Communicate    •   Coordinate    •   Respond effectively This is the difference between tactical success and systemic disruption. ▪️ What We Still Don’t Know    •   No official list of those eliminated    •   No confirmed full scope of damage    •   No precise timestamp publicly released    •   No disclosure of the exact methods used But the pattern is clear. Bottom line: “Eternal Darkness” appears to be a precision decapitation strike designed to dismantle the enemy’s command structure within minutes – not hours, not days. This may be one of the most sophisticated intelligence-driven operations we’ve seen in modern warfare.

Why is it difficult (yet necessary) to root out Hezbollah and destroy its terrorist infrastructure, stockpiles, and means of movement? Because this is what they’ve built: sophisticated tunnels - with lighting, comms, and rail transport - drilled through solid rock as deep as 20 stories below the surface. This tunnel near Shtula under the Israel-Lebanon border (aka right under the UN’s nose) was discovered and sealed by the IDF during Operation Northern Shield. (Spencer Brown on X)

It’s happening. The Iranian people are fighting the Islamic regime. More and more drive by shootings by the newly formed “Homeland Defenders Organisation” Here shot and killed 2 NAJA officers at a checkpoint in Saveh, near Qom.

A powerful message from Makram Rabah- assistant professor of history in the American University in Beirut: Lebanese people, you need to stop lying to yourselves. This country isn't "stuck" in a regional war, and it's not a victim of chance or bad luck. The truth is simpler and harsher: Lebanon is under Iranian occupation, and that's the real reason it's turning into a killing field. The Iranian Revolutionary Guard and Hezbollah are using the Lebanese—all Lebanese—as human shields. This isn't a slogan. It's not an exaggeration. This is reality. More than a hundred Israeli strikes on Lebanon should be a wake-up call. Your home isn't safe, your neighborhood isn't safe, your area isn't safe—not because that's fate, but because there are people who've decided to use these civilian spaces for their projects: hiding their weapons, holding their meetings, running their networks, storing their money among the people, and meeting their mistresses. You're not protected. You're exposed, and you're dead—don't let anyone tell you otherwise. Just hours before Beirut's fragile calm was shattered by bombs, Hezbollah wasn't preparing for de-escalation or a solution. It was consolidating its control—political and military—in something like a gradual coup, cloaked under the banner of "divine victory." And that banner effectively gives it the right to silence any opponent, threaten them, and if necessary, kill them. This isn't resistance. This is madness. Sure, the bombs that fell on Beirut will leave scars. But Beirut is used to healing its wounds and getting back up. What won't heal is something else: the persistence of this toxic sectarian logic that's turned Lebanese people—especially the Shiites—into tools in a project bigger than them. A project that doesn't ask them, doesn't represent them, but demands they pay the price. That's the logic that's turned Lebanon into a country of permanent displacement. People flee, come back, and flee again. And every time, they're told "just hold on." This isn't resilience. This is slow collapse. And if it stays like this, the outcome is clear: an explosion from within. Salvation today doesn't come from slogans. It comes from a simple act: defending your life. Your kids' lives. Your family's lives. And not letting anyone convince you that this reality is normal or something you have to accept. Hezbollah won't stop. Because its survival is tied to this reality, even if the price is the whole country. And here's the real question: Are you going to keep living in a system that's turning your homes into targets, or are you going to start reclaiming your country—the state, the streets, and what it means to be a citizen? And if there are weapons, or elements, or networks operating from between the houses, the responsibility isn't to ignore it or adapt. The responsibility is to reject it, expose it, and demand that this reality be addressed within the law, collectively, and if necessary, even if it scratches your nail against your skin. Anything less than that is foolishness, and foolishness kills.
