Be a community that calls for what is good, urges what is right, and forbids what is wrong: those who do this are the successful ones.
[Sūrah Āl ʿImrān, Verse 104]
15 638
Surely your Lord knows that you stand in prayer for nearly two-thirds of the night, or sometimes half of it, or a third, as do some of those with you. Allāh alone keeps a precise measure of the day and night. He knows that you believers are unable to endure this, and has turned to you in mercy. So recite in prayer whatever you can from the Qurʾān. He knows that some of you will be sick, some will be travelling throughout the land seeking Allah’s bounty, and some fighting in the cause of Allāh. So recite whatever you can from it. And continue to perform regular prayers, pay zakah, and lend to Allāh a good loan. Whatever good you send forth for yourselves, you will find it with Allāh far better and more rewarding. And seek Allāh’s forgiveness. Surely Allāh is All-Forgiving, Most Merciful.
[Sūrah al-Muzzammil, Verse 20]
15 638
O Allah, I ask You for all that is good, now and in the life to come, what I know of it and do not know. I seek refuge in You from all that is evil, now and in the life to come, what I know of it and do not know.

Indeed, it is We Who created humankind and fully know what their souls whisper to them, and We are closer to them than their jugular vein.
[Sūrah Q̈āf, Verse 16]
15 638
He is the One Who sent down tranquillity upon the hearts of the believers so that they may increase even more in their faith. To Allah alone belong the forces of the heavens and the earth. And Allah is All-Knowing, All-Wise.
[Sūrah al-Fatḥ, Verse 4]

Abū Hurayrah رضي الله عنه reported Allāh's Messenger ﷺ as saying:
“Allāh has mobile (squads) of angels, who have no other work (to attend to but) to follow the assemblies of ḏikr and when they find such assemblies in which there is ḏikr (of Allāh) they sit in them and some of them surround the others with their wings till the space between them and the sky of the world is fully covered, and when they disperse (after the assembly of ḏikr is adjourned) they go upward to the heaven and Allāh, the Exalted and Glorious, asks them although He is best informed about them:
‘Where have you come from?’
They (the angels) say: ‘We come from Thine servants upon the earth who had been glorifying Thee (reciting SubḥānAllāh), uttering Thine Greatness (reciting Allāhu Akbar) and uttering Thine Oneness (reciting Lā ʾilāha ʾillā llāh) and praising Thee (reciting Alḥamdulillāh) and begging of Thee.’
He (Allāh) would say: ‘What do they beg of Me?’
They (the angels) would say: ‘They beg of Thee the Paradise of Thine.’
He (Allāh) would say: ‘Have they seen My Paradise?’
They (the angels) said: ‘No, our Lord.’
He (Allāh) would say: ‘(What it would be then) if they were to see Mine Paradise?’
They (the angels) said: ‘They seek Thine protection.’
He (Allāh) would say: ‘Against what do they seek protection of Mine?’
They (the angels) would say: ‘Our Lord, from the Hell-Fire.’
He (Allāh) would say: ‘Have they seen My Fire?’
They (the angels) would say: ‘No.’
He (Allāh) would say: ‘What it would be if they were to see My Fire?’
They (the angels) would say: ‘They beg of Thee forgiveness.’
He (Allāh) would say: ‘I grant pardon to them, and confer upon them what they ask for and grant them protection against which they seek protection.’
They (the angels) would again say: ‘Our Lord, there is one amongst them such and such simple servant who happened to pass by (that assembly) and sat there along with them (who had been participating in that assembly).’
He (Allāh) would say: ‘I also grant him pardon, for they are a people the seat-fellows of whom are in no way unfortunate.’
[Ṣāḥīḥ Muslim 2689]

Abū Hurayrah رضي الله عنه reported Allāh's Messenger ﷺ as saying that Allah, the Exalted and Glorious, thus stated:
“I am near to the thought of My servant as he thinks about Me, and I am with him as he remembers Me. And if he remembers Me in his heart, I also remember him in My Heart, and if he remembers Me in assembly I remember him in assembly, better than his (remembrance), and if he draws near Me by the span of a palm, I draw near him by the cubit, and if he draws near Me by the cubit I draw near him by the space (covered by) two hands. And if he walks towards Me, I rush towards him.”
[Ṣaḥīḥ Muslim 2675a]

All mankind is from ʾĀdamعليه السلام (Adam) and Hawwā (Eve), an Arab has no superiority over a non-Arab nor a non-Arab has any superiority over an Arab; also a white has no superiority over black nor a black has any superiority over white except bypiety (taqwa) and good action. Learn that every Muslim is a brother to every Muslim and that the Muslims constitute one brotherhood. Nothing shall be legitimate to a Muslim which belongs to a fellow Muslim unless it was given freely and willingly. Do not, therefore, do injustice to yourselves.
- Extract from Khuṭbatu l-Wadāʿ [The Prophet ﷺ's Final Sermon]

Narrated by Abū Hurayrah رضي الله عنه: Allāh's Messenger ﷺ said, "The best women among the camel riders, are the women of Quraish."
(Another narrator said) The Prophet ﷺ said, "The righteous among the women of Quraish are those who are kind to their young ones and who look after their husband's property."
[Ṣaḥīḥ al-Bukhārī 5365]

Abū Hurayrah رضي الله عنه reported Allāh's Messenger ﷺ as saying:
When a man dies, his deeds come to an end, except for three: A continuous charity, knowledge by which people derive benefit, a pious son who prays for him.
[Ṣaḥīḥ Muslim 1631]

Narrated Jābir ibn ʿAbd Allāh رضي الله عنه: Allah's Messenger ﷺ said,
"Whoever after listening to the Adhan says,
ʾAllāhumma Rabba haḍihi d-daʿawati t-tāmmah wa-ṣ-ṣalāti l-qaʾimati, ʾāti muḥammadan al-wasīlata wa-l-faḍīlata wa-bʿathhu l-maqaman al-maḥmūdan al-laḍī waʿadtah
[O, Allah! Lord of this perfect call and of the established prayer, give Muhammad the right of intercession and illustriousness, and resurrect him to the best and the praised position that You have covenanted him]
… then my intercession for him will be allowed on the Day of Resurrection".
[Ṣaḥīḥ al-Bukhārī 614]

Duʿāʾ for protection from every evil
Narrated ibn al-ʿAbbās رضي الله عنه:
The Prophet ﷺ used to seek Refuge with Allāh for Al-Ḥasan and Al-Ḥusayn and say: "Your forefather (i.e. Ibrāhīm) used to seek Refuge with Allāh for ʾIsmāʿīl and Isḥāq by reciting the following:
أَعُوذُ بِكَلِمَاتِ اللَّهِ التَّامَّةِ مِنْ كُلِّ شَيْطَانٍ وَهَامَّةٍ، وَمِنْ كُلِّ عَيْنٍ لاَمَّةٍ
[ʾAʿūḏu bikalimāti-llāhit-āmmah min kulli shayṭānin wahāmmah, wa min kulli ʿayinin lāmmah]
O Allāh! I seek Refuge with Your Perfect Words
from every devil and from poisonous pests and
from every evil, harmful, envious eye.”
[Ṣaḥīḥ al-Bukhārī 3371]

It was narrated from ʾUmm Salamah رضي الله عنها that when the Prophet ﷺ performed the Subh (morning prayer), while he said the Salam, he would say: “O Allāh, I ask You for beneficial knowledge, goodly provision and acceptable deeds”
