There is no might nor power except with Allah

Narrated Abū Hurayrah رضي الله عنه‎: The Prophet ﷺ said, "A man saw a dog eating mud from (the severity of) thirst. So, that man took a shoe (and filled it) with water and kept on pouring the water for the dog till it quenched its thirst. So Allah approved of his deed and made him to enter Paradise." [Ṣaḥīḥ al-Bukhārī 173]

Abū Hurayrah رضي الله عنه‎ reported: The Messenger of Allāh ﷺ said: The nearest a servant comes to his Lord is when he is prostrating himself, so make supplication (in this state). [Ṣaḥīḥ Muslim 482]

Abū Hurayrah رضي الله عنه‎ reported Allāh's Messenger ﷺ as saying that Allah, the Exalted and Glorious, thus stated: “I am near to the thought of My servant as he thinks about Me, and I am with him as he remembers Me. And if he remembers Me in his heart, I also remember him in My Heart, and if he remembers Me in assembly I remember him in assembly, better than his (remembrance), and if he draws near Me by the span of a palm, I draw near him by the cubit, and if he draws near Me by the cubit I draw near him by the space (covered by) two hands. And if he walks towards Me, I rush towards him.” [Ṣaḥīḥ Muslim 2675a]

Strive for the cause of Allāh in the way He deserves, for it is He Who has chosen you, and laid upon you no hardship in the religion - the way of your forefather ʾIbrāhīm. It is Allāh Who named you ‘the ones who submit’ in the earlier Scriptures and in this Qurʾān, so that the Messenger may be a witness over you, and that you may be witnesses over humanity. So establish prayer, pay alms-tax, and hold fast to Allāh. He alone is your Guardian. What an excellent Guardian, and what an excellent Helper! [Sūrah al-Ḥajj, Verse 78]

لا إله إلا الله وحده لا شريك له، له الملك وله الحمد وهو على كل شيء قدير Lā ilāha illallāhu waḥdahu lā sharīka lahu, lahul-mulku wa lahul-ḥamd, wa huwa ʿalā kulli shayʾin qadīr There is no god but Allah alone, without any partner. The Kingdom and praise belongs to Him and He has power over everything.

ʿArafah - The day Allāh perfected Islām for us. Narrated by ʿUmar ibn al-Khaṭṭāb رضي الله عنه‎: Once a Jew said to me, "O the chief of believers! There is a verse in your Holy Book Which is read by all of you (Muslims), and had it been revealed to us, we would have taken that day (on which it was revealed as a day of celebration." ʿUmar ibn al-Khaṭṭāb رضي الله عنه‎ asked, "Which is that verse?" The Jew replied, “Today I have perfected your religion for you, completed My blessing upon you, and chosen as your religion islam.“ [Sūrah al-Māʾidah, Verse 3] ʿUmar ibn al-Khaṭṭāb رضي الله عنه replied, "No doubt, we know when and where this verse was revealed to the Prophet. It was Friday and the Prophet ﷺ was standing at ʿArafat (i.e. the Day of Ḥajj)" [Ṣaḥīḥ al-Bukhārī 45]

Abū Qatāda al-Anṣārī رضي الله عنه‎ reported the Messenger ﷺ was asked about the observance of fasting on the day of ʿArafah.
