Saudi Arabia's General Authority for Statistics released the number of Muslims who took part in this years Hajj. A total of 1,707,301 pilgrims performed Ḥajj. May Allāh accept from everyone who took part.

A buffalo in Bangladesh that went viral for its resemblance to Donald Trump has been spared from sacrifice this Eid al-ʾAḍḥā. The 700kg buffalo was put up for auction in Narayanganj, Bangladesh, and quickly became an internet sensation after being nicknamed after the US President due to its distinctive appearance. After being sold, the animal was due to be sacrificed on Eid day. However, Bangladeshi authorities intervened to save it. The buyer was refunded, and the buffalo was relocated to the Dhaka Zoo.

ʿArafah - The day Allāh perfected Islām for us. Narrated by ʿUmar ibn al-Khaṭṭāb رضي الله عنه: Once a Jew said to me, "O the chief of believers! There is a verse in your Holy Book Which is read by all of you (Muslims), and had it been revealed to us, we would have taken that day (on which it was revealed as a day of celebration." ʿUmar ibn al-Khaṭṭāb رضي الله عنه asked, "Which is that verse?" The Jew replied, "Today I have perfected your religion for you, completed My blessing upon you, and chosen as your religion islam." [Sūrah al-Māʾidah, Verse 3] ʿUmar ibn al-Khaṭṭāb رضي الله عنه replied, "No doubt, we know when and where this verse was revealed to the Prophet. It was Friday and the Prophet ﷺ was standing at ʿArafat (i.e. the Day of Ḥajj)" [Ṣaḥīḥ al-Bukhārī 45]

Six year-old Menna Nabil Abu Labda was orphaned for over a year after she lost her parents in previous airstrikes by the occupation forces, where she was also injured. The occupation forces killed her after launching airstikes that targeted her school tent, that was in a camp sheltering displaced families.

Make dua for the impossible. Pour your heart out and ask Allāh - He is the One who provides, He is the One who brings blessings.

Abū Qatāda al-Anṣārī رضي الله عنه reported the Messenger ﷺ was asked about the observance of fasting on the day of ʿArafah. He ﷺ said, “It is an expiation for the sins of the preceding year and the coming year.” [Ṣaḥīḥ Muslim 1162b]

🥹 A beautiful moment captured when a pilgrim spotted a security guard in Makkah performing salah, so he held an umbrella above him to provide shade. May Allāh grant him shade on the day of Qiyamah.

On Day of ʿArafah the sun will culminate at the zentih of the Kaʿbah. Many outlets report that this ‘rare event’ happens every 33 years, however this is misleading. This phenomenon happens twice a year, and just so happens that this year it will also happen on the Day of ʿArafah. This event, is not tied to any religious observance, nor does it have any significance to the Day of ʿArafah.

🕋 The days of Ḥajj have begun! Millions of Muslims from earound the world have travlled to Mina, the city of tents where the will spend the night and begin their journey of a lifetime and fulfil the legacy of Ibrāhīm AlayhiSalam. May Allāh accept from them.

The number of pilgrims who have arrived in Saudi Arabia for Ḥajj has exceeded 1.5m.

💫 Sayyid al-Istighfār: The Best Prayer for Seeking Forgiveness Narrated Shaddād ibn Aws رضي الله عنه: The Prophet (ﷺ) said "The most superior way of asking for forgiveness from Allāh is: اللهم أنت ربي، لا إله إلا أنت ، خلقتني وأنا عبدك، وأنا على عهدك ووعدك ما استطعت أعوذ بك من شر ما صنعت أبوء لك بنعمتك علي، وأبوء بذنبي، فاغفر لي فإنه لا يغفر الذنوب إلا أنت The Prophet (ﷺ) added. "If somebody recites it during the day with firm faith in it, and dies on the same day before the evening, he will be from the people of Paradise; and if somebody recites it at night with firm faith in it, and dies before the morning, he will be from the people of Paradise." [Ṣaḥīḥ al-Bukhārī 6306] Transliteration: Allāhumma anta rabbī, lā ilāha illā ant, khalaqtanī wa-anā ʿabduk, wa-anā ʿalā ʿahdika wa-waʿdika mā’istaṭaʿt, aʿūdhu bika min sharri mā ṣanaʿt, abūʾu laka bi-niʿmatika ʿalayy, wa-abūʾu laka bidhanbī, fa’ighfir lī, fa-innahu lā yaghfir al-dhunūba illā ant. Translation: O Allāh, You are my Lord, there is no God but You. You created me and I am Your servant, and I abide by Your covenant and promise (to honour it) as best as I can. I seek refuge in You from the evil that I have committed. I acknowledge Your favor upon me, and I acknowledge my sin, so forgive me, for surely none can forgive sins but You.

An old video of Indonesian Ḥujjaj reciting ‘Salatullah Salamullah ʿalā Taha Rasullillah’ after arriving at the airport in Saudi Arabia, has resurfaced online.
