As some of you might have heard, a Telegram exploit affecting Telegram Desktop on Windows has recently been discovered. While Telegram devs push an update to their servers and Telegram Desktop, here's a few tips: • Disable automatic media download for all type of chats from your Telegram Desktop settings • Don't click on videos, video notes or GIFs that have a suspicious length & size combination • Temporarily change the default app to open .pyzw files to Notepad so this type of files doesn't actually execute (if you are on Windows and have Python installed) That being said, we have known this exploit for almost 3 years (see media attached). We never used nor reported this because daddy Durov would've probably raped us instead of saying thanks. Just imagine how many more exploits this app might have 🥴
