Prayer pointers Reading Week 🙏🙏🙏 Hi friends i hope as yall are studying really hard this week for your exams, to keep fixing your eyes upon Christ Jesus! Do be praying and committing all things to Him amidst the stresses and anxiousness of this period! we are praying alongside yall!!!😁 1. Exams and summer 🧑‍💻🌅 - Pray for grace and strength to push through the last leg of the semester. Pray that we we would rely on his grace that is sufficient (2 Corinthians 12:9), and in him through whom we can do all things (Phil 4:13). - Pray for the Regen summer activities (Regen Camp, book clubs, retreats) that they would be fruitful and restful for organisers and attendees alike. - Pray that we would submit our summer plans to God, making every decision with our time with wisdom under God and for God. - Pray that in the idleness of summer, we do not drift from the faith, but pay much closer attention to the great salvation we have received in the gospel (Heb 2:1-4). Pray that regen members would continue meeting to encourage and stir one another up to love and good works. 2. The Philippines 🇵🇭🇵🇭🇵🇭 - The Philippines was the first country in Southeast Asia to declare state of national emergency on 24 Mar after the blocking of the Strait of Hormutz due to the Iran conflict. - They import 95% of their oil from the Gulf, hence their vulnerability. As of Mar 20, the government said the Philippines had around 45 days of fuel supply and is procuring oil barrels to build its buffer stock. - Hundreds of transport workers in Manila went on a two-day strike on Mar 26 over rising fuel costs, with transport coalitions laying out sweeping demands including scrapping fuel taxes and abandoning deregulation. - Pray for wisdom on the part of leaders to find alternative sources of energy to keep their country running. - Pray for civil stability and peace that people would not anxiously stock up for themselves but act with calmness and consideration for others. - Pray for Christians in the Philippines that their hope would not be in their current national circumstances, but in him who created all things and upholds the universe by the word of his power.

Week 13 Prayer Pointers 🙏🙏🙏 1. Mark 15:40-16:8 📖📖📖 - Pray that we be really convicted that Jesus really did rise again from the dead, and that we respond to him in bold faith and not fear. - Pray for friends who might join us this week, that they be fully persuaded Jesus really is who he says he is, because of the resurrection. 2. Staff 👱🏼‍♂️👩 👶👶👶👶 We're all feeling quite tired and weary. Ask God to help us keep looking to Jesus for rest, and ask him to keep strengthening and sustaining us, as we prep for camp. Sam & Charis: Give thanks for the privilege of serving Jesus by holding out the word to students as our day jobs. Pray that our minds be so saturated with the preciousness of Jesus' death that we'll keep on being excited to scatter the gospel seed on the soils of students' hearts, whether fruit is immediately apparent or not. Colin & Jeremy: Give thanks for growing their joy in the Lord and love for God through their time with us as interns. As they prepare to transition to secular work, pray they will keep Jesus as their utmost priority no matter what. Leon: Give thanks for helping Leon settle down to work as ministry these couple of months. Pray that he presses on in loving students with the word amid the pressures & demands of ministry. Jotham: Ask God to keep sustaining Jotham through reservist and that he be distinctive in all he says and does among his non-Christian reservist mates. 3. Eritrea 🇪🇷🇪🇷🇪🇷 - https://www.opendoorsuk.org/persecution/world-watch-list/eritrea/ - Number 6 on the world watch list - One of the world's most difficult places to be a Christian. It is illegal to be a Christian there as there are only 4 recognised religions in that country, including the Eritrea Orthodox Church. - Non-traditional Christian groups, such as Evangelical, Pentecostal, and Baptist churches, face the harshest repression. These groups endure raids, imprisonment and systemic marginalisation. - Pray for the Christians in Eritrea, that despite the looming persecution, that God will grant them comfort and peace knowing that they have confidence in the hope that they have in Christ in the new creation. - Pray for the Church there, that there would be good gospel-preaching churches that hold fast to the Word. Pray for spiritual growth even though it is difficult to follow Jesus there.

Week 12 Prayer pointers 🙏🙏🙏 1. Mark 15:1-39 📖 - Ask God to help us embrace the weakness of the cross, and to adore the man who faced God-forsakenness for us as the Son of God - Pray for friends who might join us this week, that like the centurion, they would see the cross and marvel at Jesus 2. Student on intern + exchange🧑‍🎓👩‍🎓👨‍💻✈️ - Thank God for our friends to have the opportunity to study overseas and enjoy God's creation in other parts of the world. Pray that our students in exchange would not be too caught up with travelling plans or studies, but to keep their eyes fixed on Jesus. Pray for safety as they travel, to come back home safely to start the new semester. - Pray for the interns in our midst, that they may be working hard for the Lord. Pray for perseverance for those who find intern difficult and trying. Pray that they would be spiritually desiring to grow more in knowledge of the Lord, that they would be rooted in Christ 3. SMUCF 👥✝️ - Pray for their May Bible Retreat (Regen Camp equivalent) happening May 5-7. - Pray that SMUCF members would behold the cross as they finish up John's Gospel, that they would strengthen their belief that Jesus is the Christ, the Son of God, and thus have life in his name (John 20:31). - Pray that the topical workshops and batch bonding would be filled with fruitful learning and one-anothering. - Pray for the planning committee that they would labour heartily for the kingdom.

Week 11 Prayer Pointers 🙏🙏🙏 1. Mark 14:26-72 📖📖📖 - Ask God to help us see our disloyalty in Peter and disciples, that we too need Jesus to press on ahead to the cross for us - Give thanks for Jesus for being so willing and determined to head to the cross for us, despite the loneliness, anguish, pain and shame" 2. Evangelistic Central + Good Friday + Easter ✝️🪦🌤👑 - Pray for the Evangelistic central that is happening on Wednesday! For friends that we are inviting that God may be so gracious unto them. softening their hard hearts and opening their blind eyes to the Saviour in Christ Jesus. - Pray for boldness among the Regen members to be holding out the gospel to their friends! Unafraid yet gracious in speech to their NonChristian friends. - Pray also as we remember our saviour's death and resurrection this Good Friday and Easter, may we be convicted by our own wretchedness and sinfulness that placed the innocent lamb onto the cross in our stead. - Rejoicing that because of Christ blood we are counted righteous! Our great Hope in Life and Death! 3. SUTDCF 👥👥 - Thank God for their studies through the book Exodus this far this trimester! Pray that they would be reflecting on the truth that God desires to dwell with His people, that through Jesus, that we can be fully reconciled back to God. - Pray for Sam Chan who is leading a workshop there on 31st March from Exodus 20-23, that he would be preaching God's word clearly on the laws that are presented there. Pray that the students would be understanding how the old testament laws still apply to us today. - Pray for their Exodus Finale Camp, an annual CF camp. Pray that they would be reflecting about how much they grew in their knowledge of God. Pray that it would be a fruitful time of encouraging one another in Christ as they sit under God's word from May 13-15.

Prayer pointers Week 10 🙏🙏🙏 1. Mark 14:1-25 📖📖📖 - Ask God to help us appreciate the worth of Jesus' death, and to see that it cannot be compared with what this world has to offer - Give thanks that Jesus dies as the Passover Lamb for our sins and brings about God's new covenant promises 2. Y4s 🎓🎓🎓 - Thank God for sustaining the Y4s in our midst through 4 years of university, for providing them the opportunity to study and grow into Godly men and women. - Pray for wisdom as most of them would be finding jobs soon, that God will grant them the discernment to make the right decisions in their careers. Pray that no matter the decision and the outcome, they would make it their aim to please the Lord in their life circumstances. Pray that they would trust in God's provisions for them in their future plans in this tumultuous world. - Pray that even as they are finishing up their final semester, that they would continue to have a right mindset of work, that they would be working hard for the Lord and pray that God will guard them against laziness. Pray also that they would be applying whatever they learnt in Mark well to stay awake and be on guard. 3. Graduands/Graduates 🧑‍🎓🧑‍🎓👷‍♂️👷‍♀️👨‍💻✍️ - Thank God for every person who has passed through Regen. Pray that their experience in Regen, no matter long or short, would continue to serve them well in their respective workplaces and churches. - Pray that the friendships built in Regen would be sustained long term, and continue to be a source of encouragement through various seasons of life. - Pray that God would continue to feed them spiritually in their respective local churches, while working through them as they participate and serve heartily in their local church communities. - Pray that they would meditate on scriptures day and night, that they might prosper in Christian maturity, and be fruitful in their labour (Psalm 1).

WEEK 9 PRAYER POINTERS 🙏🙏🙏 1. Mark 13 📖📖📖 - Pray ""Come Lord Jesus,"" that he would return and judge the living and the dead - Pray that we stay awake in the meantime, not being distracted or enamoured by temple-like superficial appearances." 2. Y2 & 3s 🧑‍🎓🧑‍🎓 - Pray for the Y2 students considering and applying for exchange/internships. Grant them wisdom in making big decisions in planning their university life. Pray that in their consideration, they love not the world but seek the things above. - Pray for the Y3 students currently on exchange. Grant them safety over their travels and protection from foreign dangers. Pray that the Lord would provide them with fruitful experiences that reveal His glory and grace. - Pray for the Y3 students currently on internship. Pray that their interactions with colleagues and supervisors would be marked by grace and patience, and humility, seeking others' interests above their own. Pray that they would be salt and light in their workplaces, not conforming to worldly cultures but staying firm and set apart, working heartily for the Lord Christ. 3. South Africa 🇿🇦🇿🇦 Stats: 63.1 million people, 85.3% identifies as Christian. - Thank God for the many Christians there are in South Africa. Pray that the the church would separated from the world, that they would be distinct, free from false teaching. Pray that they would be preaching that gospel, and through the church more Christians would grow in maturity in Christ. - Pray for the problem of inequality and high unemployment rates. Pray for the Christians in that land to hope in eternal hope that we have in Christ, despite the challenges they face in the land. Pray for wisdom for the country leaders to lead the country well, to make decisions to benefit the country. - Pray for the Christians persecuted in this land, that they might be steadfast in their hope in our God who saves them. Pray that they would see that the sufferings of the present time are not worth comparing to the glory that is to be revealed to us.

Mark 11:27-12:44📖📖📖 - Ask God to convict us of times when we think and act like the temple, in our subordination of God's authority - Pray that God will help us see the fruitlessness of our failure to give the Son the respect we ought to render him or the wholehearted love we owe God and others. 2. Y1s 👨‍🎓 - Thank God for sustaining our year 1s over this past year of university, for helping them to be assimilated well into university. - Pray that they would continue to be relying on the Lord in their studies especially during this season of midterm examinations, for them to be working hard for the Lord and not for man. (Col. 3:23) - Pray that God will guard their hearts from the temptations of university life -- temptations to idolise their studies, idolise relationships etc. Pray that they would be spiritually mature in Christ so that they would not be tossed to and fro by waves and carried about by every wind of doctrine. (Eph. 4:14) 3.
