However, it reeks of forced cohesion, with a smidgeon of pandering. What sovereignty do private organizations yield to their political overlords? Doing business with Big Brother will cost you, and it’s usually a debt most of us cannot afford to pay. Just because one ruler thinks our nation’s anthem is the benchmark of patriotism doesn’t mean the next despot will. And therein is the rub. If you contract with Big Brother then expect it to set the dictates. Is now a good time to bring up the fact that the taxpayer’s wallet has become all too enticing for these autocrats to pass up? Sports, players and stadiums are fine, but these endeavors should be a private enterprise without needing to steal money from the citizens. *scrambles off soapbox*
