While I cannot compete with International-Domestic rakishness, I am thinking about doing something that may turn out to be entertaining -if only because I have the "let's just wing it" kinda attitude. Remember last summer when I mentioned possibly doing a live chat? I'm feeling a little quirky and adventurous this evening and thought I may give it a try in the next hour or so. Let's see if I can distract the kiddos enough so they're not running amok when we try this foray into uncharted internet territory. You know, it's new'ish for this homeschooling mom who spent the entire day wearing PJs and dreaming about her Kindle.

It's all good -God is so good! Power went back on by the afternoon. Believe it or not, we didn't consume the ice cream... until the power came back on 😁 I'm getting better about not reaching for the light switch. Is it wrong that we enjoy pranking the kids with, "go turn on the light?" I suspect they're on to us though. Gonna need to change prank strategies. It's felt like Friday for the last two days. I guess power outages throw you through some kind of time warp thingy* Living in Florida (before moving here) one goes through their fair share of no power. Our Florida experiences had us convinced for awhile that the only thing separating humans and animals were humans had opposable thumbs and electricity. People are more friendly in this part of the country when the power goes out (don't get me wrong; there's still some Tennessean idiosyncrasies). I'd like to think I could handle a power grid down with the intelligence and grace of Laura Ingalls Wilder, but I've concluded I'll last twelve hours. Anyway, I've been doing a lot of homeschool research tonight... and apparently this morning. Came across some good tips and made some resolutions. Hello friends! Hope y’all are doing well and staying warm and happy. I’m sure some of you have been dealing with the inclement weather. We’ve had wintry mix since Monday night and the schools have been closed since Tuesday. Much to our kids’ chagrin, we homeschool on 😏 Our power went out an hour ago and pretty soon we’ll have no internet access. All is well, and the kids are super excited because they know if a few more hours pass without power, we’ll start consuming the ice cream 😃 Y’all stay safe! Blessings!
