[ANOTHER BLOW TO HUMANITY -  4.HUMANS ARE MECHANICAL CREATURE] Another theory was offered that there is no difference between #humans, #plants and even #inanimate objects. There is, of course, a difference in the #texture and #form, but not in the #substance of which they were all made. It was stated that #spirit and divine breath were non-existent because the human being is a #machine which is only more complicated than other machines such as cars, planes, and satellites; that is, only a mechanical #creature. This was a great blow to humanity and yet human values were not wholly condemned except in some schools of thought where ideas like peace, freedom, spirituality, justice and compassion were considered as jokes. [ANOTHER BLOW TO HUMANITY -  3.REFUSAL OF HUMAN VALUES & STOMACH AS CORE OF ACTIVITIES] Another strong blow as against humanity's apparently brilliant record of activities, namely, that it could act in such a way that showed only goodness and benevolence, whose motive was only the love of God, and lacking all animal aspects. The new thesis was that the claim of humanity to all that sanctity and #virtue was false and all the activities to which it had given the name of the love of knowledge, art, beauty, morality and conscience, prayer and devotion and everything #supernatural, are similar to those which can be found in animals, too, except in a more complex form and mechanism. It was said that the #stomach is the #source and cause of all activities. Some went so far as to say that the stomach was also the basis of its thoughts and feelings. There were still others who considered this position too high and claimed that the human being was even lower than he is. Eventually it was concluded that this being who had formerly claimed #divine origin and exaltation must be subjected to a #careful study to discover its true #nature. [ANOTHER BLOW TO HUMANITY - 2. REFUSAL OF HUMAN BEING AS DIVINE CREATION ] Then, another severe blow dealt, was the idea that the human being was no longer a #divine creature and #vicegerent of God upon the earth was given up. Biological research on the question of #evolution and the origin of species at once showed the relationship of people with those same animals which they Scorned and despised. [ADVANCE IN SCIENCE - HUMANITY DEVELOPED ONE SIDE & DECLINED OTHER SIDE] 1.GOAL OF CREATION - DOUBT & DENIAL The first #discovery of humanity was the form of the universe which #revolutionized its ideas. Before that, the earth was believed to be the center of the universe round which all the plants and stars revolved. #Science proved that the earth was a small planet which revolved around the sun and the solar System was only an insignificant part of the universe. GHADIR - THE DIVINE EVENT The verse revealed at Ghadir Khumm.(5:67) In the same chapter of Al-Ma'idah, the verse: الْيوْمَ أَکمَلْتُ لَکمْ دِينَکمْ وَ أَتْمَمْتُ عَلَيکمْ نِعْمَتِي وَ رَضِيتُ لَکمُ الْإِسْلامَ دِيناً  "Today I have perfected your religion for you, completed My favor upon you, and have approved for you Islam as your religion" (5:3) It indicates that on that day, an event took place so significant that it is considered the completion of religion and the culmination of God's favor upon humanity. With that event, Islam is truly Islam—God sees it exactly as He intended. And without that event, Islam would not be Islam. The Shia argue from the tone of this verse—which grants such immense importance to this matter—and ask: What could that event be, whose name is the perfection of religion, the completion of divine favor, & something without which Islam would not be Islam? AL-GHADIR - A STEP TOWARDS UNITY The positive role of Al-Ghadir in Islamic unity is such that: Firstly, it clarifies the reasoned logic of the Shia school of thought. It proves that the inclination of nearly one hundred million Muslims toward Shi'ism—contrary to the poisonous propaganda of some—was not born of political movements, racial factors, or the like. Rather, it was a strong logic rooted in the Qur'an & the Sunnah that gave rise to this inclination. Secondly, it proves that certain accusations leveled against the Shia—which have caused other Muslims to distance themselves from them—are entirely baseless and false. These include accusations such as: the Shia prefer a non-Muslim over a non-Shia Muslim, rejoice when non-Shia Muslims are defeated by non-believers, replace Hajj with pilgrimage to the graves of the Imams, deviate in their prayer, or practice temporary marriage in a distorted manner. Thirdly, it introduces to the Islamic world the noble & distinguished figure of Amir al-Mu'minin, Ali ibn Abi Talib (peace be upon him)—the most wronged and least recognized great personality in Islam, who could serve as a role model for all Muslims—as well as his pure descendants. [IMAM ALI (A.S) MAN OF ALL VALUES] I do not intend to praise our present society, but fortunately some worthwhile values have appeared in it. I fear, however that once more they may become single-dimensional and destroy other values. If we wish to have Imam #Ali (as) as our #model and a perfectly well balanced man, this should not happen. He is a man in whom all human #values have developed #harmoniously. At night and during the communion with #God, no Gnostic can rival him in his divine ecstasy and his flight towards Him. He is so deep in his devotion that nothing can divert his attention, and this divine love seems to have taken him to another world. This is how he is in the altar of #worship at night. In daytime, he is a different man. Unlike many ascetics, he is #cheerful sitting with his companions and even witty. Amr ibn Aas criticized him and termed him as unsuitable for the Caliphate since he was so cheerful, as if a caliph must always look glum to frighten people. In battle too he was cheerful and smiling, while in the altar he was tearful. The Qur'an says: إِنَّ نَاشِئَةَ اللَّيْلِ هِيَ أَشَدُّ وَطْئًا وَأَقْوَمُ قِيلًا إِنَّ لَكَ فِي النَّهَارِ سَبْحًا طَوِيلًا "Surely, the rising by night is the firmest way to tread and the most corrective of speech.. INTERNATIONAL ISLAMIC OWNERSHIP OF KABAA It is understood from the verses of the Quran that this House & its sanctuary are a place of safety and security. This characteristic of the Haram confirms that the Haram must belong to all Muslims, not to a specific group. This House, & indeed the Haram, should not have a private owner. It is the property of God, meaning it is the property of all. It is stated in a hadith that no one has the right to prevent people from entering Mecca on the pretext that "this is our city, our homeland, & our country." The Kaaba, the Mosque, & indeed the Haram belong to every person who is a believer in monotheism, a worshipper of God, & a follower of the faith of Abraham. It is as if, on the part of Abraham, this place has been dedicated (waqf) for the people of monotheism & the worship of the One God. THE MAIN GOAL - ALLAH The goal and ideal that #Islam offers is #God, and everything else is preparatory to it, and not of an independent and fundamental importance. In the verses where the Qur'an mentions perfect human #devoted beings, or speaks on their behalf, it says they have truly understood the goal of life and endeavored to attain it. It says for Ibrahim ("I have my worship to Him who has created heaven and earth, and I am not a pagan." [The Qur'an, 6:80] This Sura, too, says: "My prayer, worship, life and death are for God, who is the Lord of the Universe." IMAM JAWAD (AS) KNEW MAN'S INNER THOUGHTS One day, al-Mutawakkil had summoned Imam al-Jawād (peace be upon him), and it seems he was riding a mule on his way to the court of al-Mutawakkil. The crowd outside was very large, and there was a great commotion. When the Imam appeared in the distance, because of the reverence and awe that people held for him, they parted and made way, and he came through, passing along the street. The narrator says: I looked at him and saw that he was full of dignity, riding along with his head lowered. For others, the way would have to be cleared by force of a whip, but for him, out of respect, the people made way. I said to myself, "Is this the very person the Shīʿa claim is an Imam and possesses such stations? What difference is there? He is just a human being like us; what is the difference between him and us?" As soon as I said this to myself, the Imam suddenly turned his face toward me and said: "And they said, 'Shall we follow a single human being from among us? Truly, we would then be in error and madness.'" (Sūrat al-Qamar, 54:24) Then, immediately after that, another thought came into my mind. Instantly he said: "'Has the Reminder been sent down upon him out of all of us? Rather, he is a boastful liar.'" (Sūrat al-Qamar, 54:25). I then understood—no, this is what it means to be an Imam. SHAHEED MUTAHARI'S WISH & DREAM WHICH DIDN'T COME TRUE - TRANSLATION & EXPLANATION OF SAHIFEH SAJJADIYAH One of the #wishes I have had for years is that one day I will be able to translate the #supplication of Makaram al-Akhlaq of Imam Zain al-Abidin (a.s.) into Persian and especially explain the philosophy and points contained in this honorable supplication. This is one of my #dreams. اللَّهُمَّ صَلِّ عَلی‏ مُحَمَّدٍ وَ آلِهِ وَ سَدِّدْنی لِأنْ أعارِضَ مَنْ غَشَّنی بِالنُّصْح O Lord, bless the Prophet and the family of the Prophet and grant me the #opportunity to "#confront" those who deceive me (seemingly they are friends but inwardly they want to harm me) with #benevolence واجزي منْ حجراني بالبر. Those who have left and #abandoned me, friends who no longer come to me, I will put their #punishment in the palm of their hands; How? In return for them abandoning me and abandoning kindness, I will be #kind to them. وَأخالِفَ مَنِ اغْتابَنی الی‏ حُسْنِ الذِّکرِ. RIGHT TIME FOR REPENTANCE "When is the time for repentance and when is it accepted?" A person has the #opportunity to #repent as long as that person is #alive and before death comes. When a person is in the cluches of #death, no time is left to be saved through #repentance. According to traditional interpretations, this death time is the moment that one feels and sees death and gets a glimpse of the next world. [BE YOUR OWN JUDGE - A CRITERIA FOR SPIRITUALITY] We can give other reasons to show that the human being's personality is complex and that one can either be #spiritually free or a slave. God Almighty has granted this power to a person to be one's own judge. In society, a judge stands apart from the plaintiff and defendant. Have you ever heard a person to be his own plaintiff and defendant and judge, all at the same time? A person is called just. What is a just human being? Does it not mean that a person can judge impartially about one's own problems and issue a verdict against one when guilty? Does this not show the complex nature the human being?
