Why Are Metal Stocks Rising Today?
Metal stocks are witnessing strong buying interest today, supported by a combination of positive macroeconomic data and sector specific triggers :
1. Stronger Industrial Activity: India's Index of Industrial Production (IIP) grew by 7.3% YoY in June 2026, accelerating from 5.0% in May. The improvement was led by a sharp rebound in manufacturing activity and healthy growth in the electricity and gas supply segments. Stronger industrial output typically translates into higher demand for steel, aluminum, and other industrial metals.
