| 15 | Let's say I'm willing to lose up to $250 in a single day.
Instead of risking a fixed amount on every trade, I allocate my risk based on the quality of the setup.
D-grade setups: I don't take them.
C-grade setups: I risk 10% of my daily risk cap (about $25).
B-grade setups: I risk 30% of my daily risk cap (about $75).
A-grade setups: I risk 60% of my daily risk cap (about $150).
The idea is simple: the higher my confidence in the setup, the more risk I'm willing to allocate. I don't treat every trade equally because not every opportunity has the same probability of success.
One question I get asked a lot is,
"How do you decide whether a setup is A-grade, B-grade, or C-grade?"
The answer is that it comes from a structured grading process, and we'll cover that throughout the 30 Trade Series. By the end of the series, you'll understand exactly how I evaluate and rank every trade before risking any money.
