How a Pagan Chieftain Reacts to Crisis
The sudden finality of the Hyperborean Chieftain.
Decisions in times of great need often lack subtlety, diplomacy or time for interjection. Quite often he realizes the correct course of action leaves little room for hesitation, uncertainty or indecision as often by the time those arise it is too late.
Notice the utter shock and disbelief of the others as they mentally catch up to the lethality of the situation, both the finality of what just happened as well as what could have happened had it not.

Rouge Bouquet

"In a woods they call the Rouge Bouquet
There is a new-made grave today,
Built by never a spade nor pick,
Yet covered with earth ten meters thick.
There lie many fighting men,
Dead in their youthful prime,
Never to laugh nor love again
Or taste of the summer time;

And stopped his flight at the dugout stair,
