Bi-stable mode
In bistable mode, both the output states are stable. At each interrupt, the output changes from low (0) to high (1) and vice versa, and stays there. For example, if we have a high (1) output, it will go low(0) once it receives an interrupt and stays low (0) till the next interrupt changes the status.

Mono-stable mode
This configuration consists of one stable and one unstable state. The stable state can be chosen either high or low by the user. If the stable output is set at high (1), the output of the timer is high (1). At the application of an interrupt, the timer output turns low (0). Since the low state is unstable it goes to high (1) automatically after the interrupt passes. Similar is the case for a low stable monostable mode.

Astable mode
This means there will be no stable level at the output. So the output will be swinging between high and low. This character of unstable output is used as a clock or square wave output for many applications.

The 555 generally operates in 3 modes:
1. A-stable.
2. Mono-stable.
3. Bi-stable modes.

IC 555 Timer
555 timer is used in almost every electronic circuit today. For a 555 timer working as a flip flop or as a multi-vibrator, it has a particular set of configurations.

Answer will be 1.
we have to go to that room only once.
Steps:
First switch on the first switch, keep it on for say 2-3 minutes.
then switch of first switch and on the second switch.
as soon as u on the second switch go to the room.
If you found that the bulb is glowing that means the second switch corresponds to the room.
if not then touch the bulb if it is warm that means it corresponds to the second switch if not then it corresponds to the third switch.

You have 3 switches in a room. One of them is for a bulb in next room. You can not see whether the bulb is on or off, until you enter the room. What is the minimum number of times you need to go in to the room to determine which switch corresponds to the bulb in next room.

11) Can we use any function inside ISR?
We can use function inside ISR as long as that function is not invoked from other portion of the code.
12) Can we use printf inside ISR?
Printf function in ISR is not supported because printf function is not reentrant, thread safe and uses dynamic memory allocation which takes a lot of time and can affect the speed of an ISR up to a great extent.

Applications of Schottky Diode
Schottky diodes are used in electronics industry for many applications in diode rectifier because of its properties. They are used for voltage clamping applications, to prevent transistor saturation.
It is used as Schottky TTL in digital devices as these devices require fast switching as the performance of digital computers is determined by switching speed of diodes, Schottky diode is an important component for digital computers.

Specialties of Schottky Diode
👉 Due to the absence of the current flow from metal to N-type semiconductor, it acts as a unipolar device. Whereas, a PN junction diode is a bipolar device.
👉 The metal does not have any holes, it does not store any charge. Due to this reason, Schottky diode has the advantage to quickly switch with relatively low noise.
👉 It has a low barrier potential compared to PN diode.
