Family where women are in grief it's destructed soon
Where women don't grieve that family is prosperous always.
This quote is from Manusmriti.
Bottom line:Women empowerment is not a luxury but a necessity. It is the key to have a sustained upwards growth trajectory.Just like a cart can't move on one wheel similarly a society can't prosper when its half the population are held back from realising their full potential. The Constitutonal ideals too enshrine justice as its core tenet and we as a society need to change our values, attitudes and behaviour.
This quote can be used in gs 1 questions of women empowerment,gs 4 questions of gender ethics, case studies relating to eve-teasing,sexual harassment, domestic violence, rape and essay on women empowerment.

"Out of the night that covers me,
Black as the pit from pole to pole,
I thank whatever gods may be
For my unconquerable soul.
In the fell clutch of circumstance
I have not winced nor cried aloud.
Under the bludgeonings of chance
My head is bloody, but unbowed …"
-W. E. Henley, ‘Invictus’
Nelson Mandela recited the poem to his fellow prisoners while he was incarcerated on Robben Island. ‘Invictus’ was partly inspired by Henley’s own struggles as an invalid (he lost a leg when young) and his determination to remain ‘bloody but unbowed’.(This doesn't mean you're in a prison and we are the ray of hope ☺️)

Quote from book:"As the captain of a ship is bound to be the last man to leave his ship in case of wreck and to share his last crust with the sailors in case of famine, so the manufacturer, in any commercial crisis, is bound to take the suffering of it with his men, and even to take more of it for himself than he allows his men to feel; as a father would in a famine, shipwreck
or battle, sacrifice himself for his son."

Dear friends,
Hope you are hustling. We would like to share our piece of mind those who are giving UPSC Mains this year. You all must have been receiving the 'gyan dose' of being stress free, confident, calm etc and etc.Easier said than done!We also felt like sharing the same however at this point of time we think let's talk some sense.See friends if you have prepared well, toiled hard, practiced a lot and have a little bit of luck than there are extremely high chances of clearing the exam. However,if you haven't prepared that well and revised enough there are strong chances that you won't be able to make it.
Then isn't this is what we expect..FAIRNESS,JUSTICE.If you don't make it then again try with more sincerity and direction.Worrying, stressing if helped then we would have advised you to do so without an iota of doubt. But that is not the case.It is said that 'as shall you sow so shall you reap'.
Hope the below lines make some sense:
नहीं विघ्न-बाधाओं को हम, स्वयं बुलाने जाते हैं,
फिर भी यदि वे आ जायें तो, कभी नहीं घबड़ाते हैं।
मेरे मत में तो विपदाएँ, हैं प्राकृतिक परीक्षाएँ,
उनसे वही डरें, कच्ची हों, जिनकी शिक्षा-दीक्षाएँ॥
