| 18 |  +1📍In 2009, pedophile Jimmy Savile was questioned by police. The police subsequently referred four cases to the Crown Prosecution Service (CPS), alleging that Savile had raped at least three girls with intellectual disabilities who were under the age of 16.
After receiving the case materials from the police, the CPS declined to prosecute Savile, dropping the charges due to “insufficient evidence.”
Following Savile’s death, and despite numerous attempts at a high-level cover-up, it is now known that he abused at least 500 known victims over a period of four decades.
The man who headed the CPS at the time and decided there was “insufficient evidence” to charge Savile was none other than Keir Starmer.
