BIG NEWS! NYU Changes its ED Procedures. New York University has 3 degree-giving campuses: in New York, Abu-Dhabi, and Shanghai. Previously, applicants had the choice to choose primary, secondary, and third options. These choices reflected the priority campus decision. Upon admittance to the second or third choice of interest in Early Decision, applicants could be released from ED Binding Agreement. This meant that student who applied to NYU as main choice and NYU Shanghai as second, and got into only NYU SH could decline the offer. However, from this year, Common App states that NYU discontinued its Priority policy and renamed it to a campus, which students would like to spend their most time. In addition, NYU explicitly states that those admitted to NYU Shagnhai or Abu-Dhabi campuses even though this is NOT what they selected as primary campus of interest MUST accept the offer. This means, if you applied to NYU Main Campus, but even accidentally chose NYU SH as interest, you must attend NYU SH upon admittance. Perhaps, this stems from overwhelming number of admitted students in the past years who chose NYU SH as additional choice but declined after acceptance, lowering the yield rate of NYU. i asked the uni admissions officers what SAT score uzbeks need to get full tuition scholarship at hkust they said there are 2-3 diversity scholarships, but generally, at least 1530. i had 4 people messaging me this week saying they have 1520 and whether they should apply. they concluded it (application fee) is not worth the risk. with all due respect, everything valuable is risky. if you do not risk with something you want, you will be left with safe choices you dont want. when i needed to find money for SAT, I was selling SAT Seats. I didn't give a tuck if people thought it was unethical and greedy. I needed to go to another country in a bus for 14 hours and find a shelter there. people do not know your circumstances. but you should more importantly know that they don't care. so when someone like me comes to you and encourages you to go for it and risk because he sees something in you that you can't yet see, go for it. dont be a loser. force your way into it. @levshamain

On a recent Abdulaziz's post https://t.me/AbushkaSob/779 1) i believe it is a shallow perspective to name one company as the only one worth supporting just because you know it. no one knew about freshman except small circles a few years ago. it was an amazing project yet it does not change the nature of it. similarly, there are other projects that you might not be aware of that are making great strides and are about to achieve good results. when making such posts that are influential, beware of the limitations, and do note them. 2) unless the person has not personally got into a university, do NOT pay more than for consultations. i got messages from multuple trustworthy individuals that the post is referring to https://t.me/Rakhimoff_Amir/519. while i believe consultations might be helpful (if you think so), do NOT PURCHASE full support for a university application. 3) do not be fully reluctant to one option. just like in universities where you should not be confined to IVY League and America, in seeking support from experienced people/companies, be open-minded. you can reach out to current students on linkedin and find other channels to make it work. the reason i am saying this is because established companies usually have a track record of success which they can show even if your case does not work out. for example, if a company delivered 100 items over the past 7 years, not delivering 1 will not hurt significantly as it will to a smaller, less recognized company/person. newer companies/individuals will often (at least the good ones) go extra mile to make sure you get in. because they have personal stake in your victory. if you win, the newer company wins as much as you do, which is not the case with established brands. 4) do not be stingy with money when it comes to application. even if that 50 dollar essay feedback is expensive and potentially wont be useful, spend that. spend all the money you and your parents can afford. this is the LAST chance for you to get suppport from your parents. all later supports will be shameful since you will be a mature individual. clarification: "Also I make it clean in the comments that the post isn’t about a single person/agency. apparently, someone leaked some questions, and we got a rough curve. anyway, we take responsibility for our own efforts and move on. if something alike happens the next time, no offense, i will personally get everyone's results delayed, some cancelled.

from so many experience, i learned that cheating takes you so far there are moments where it is good, where you learn life lessons. for example, i learned more from cheating in school exams at school than what i learned in lessons. i can state that publicly and confidently. the sense of urgency and focus in exam and pre-exam situation makes you nobel-level productive in learning. however, not all circumstances are the same. during paper sat periods, i, like many other people taking the test, got access to the test materials. and i used them. like all other people who did so. however, i didnt get the results for many times. when i sat down to prepare and commited that i would not be using any cheats and would do it all with complete honesty to myself, i started getting all i wanted. this post is not about me, tho. i saw other people getting 1530+s and ending up in nowhere. sat is indicative of your knowledge as long as you take it honestly. if you cheat, even if you got the score, your essays are a clear testament to your incompetence and inability to reason. the point i am trying to draw home is when you have very important tests, exams, or other situations risky situations, truth and honesty to yourself is the best way. do not pay attention to others cheating. stop caring about them. if you put your best effort and get the result honestly, that will feel like the best humanly possible experience. moreover, stop following channels who post questions before the exam. if you are preparing so long and hard for the exam, why allow it to misrepresent your true self? it is like preparing for a full marathon and consuming doping right before the run, ruining your years of preparation. believe in yourself, choose mentors who guide you through the difficult, rigorous path than easy cheatcodes.
