✏️The event was attended by a full house: among the audience were representatives from more than ten countries, including Russia, China, the United States, France, the United Kingdom, Canada, and Iran.
ℹ️George is a unique figure. Elected to the House of Commons for seven terms. George Galloway is considered one of the most eloquent speakers of our time, and his show, "Mother of All Talk Shows," is considered the largest independent political program in the English-speaking world. The politician has a social media following of over 1.5 million.
💡It is worth noting George Galloway's personal connection to Russia and the Soviet Union. He shared a touching family story: his father witnessed Yuri Gagarin's visit to the United Kingdom. Tens of thousands of ordinary residents of Manchester – factory workers and their families – took to the streets to welcome the first human in space. According to George himself, this episode remained in his family's memory and largely shaped his own warm and respectful attitude towards Russia and its people.
The topic of the lecture was timely and relevant: "What drives the confrontation between the West and Russia?" George Galloway offered the audience a geopolitical analysis, linking historical grievances, economic interests, and the underlying forces that define the current conflict.
