Did you know that humans spend about one-third of their lives sleeping? Sleep is not just for rest; it helps our brains work better. During sleep, our brains clean away waste and store memories. This is why people feel tired and forgetful when they don’t sleep enough.
Also, not all animals sleep the same way. Dolphins, for example, sleep with one eye open! Half of their brain stays awake to watch for danger, while the other half rests. Birds can also sleep while flying, especially during long trips across oceans.
Scientists still don’t understand everything about sleep. But they know it is very important for good health. So, if you want to feel strong and think clearly, remember to get enough sleep every night!
