Wolf of Dreams Lore Questions: What is a Memoria? Derived from the latin word for Memory, in the Wolf of Dreams story it's a memory that has manifested into a physical form. Memorias can be summoned via an "Awakener" and used to cast powerful abilities and spells. What is an Awakener? An Awakener is a device used by Wolfstar and other characters in the story to summon a Memoria to cast magical abilities. Awakeners take the shape of a sword that a user must forcibly jab into their chest in order to activate the Memoria — despite the technique sounding barbaric, it's the only method that's been proven to summon a Memoria without harming the user. The Awakener simulates the process of being impaled by a sword causing a small "spark" that allows the user to manifest a Memoria. The term "Life flashing before your eyes", is brought up as a sort of explanation to how Awakeners work — when your body enters the life flashing before eyes phase, the Awakener will grab a memory during that stasis and manifest it into a physical embodiment of what the user holds dear. For example: If Blaidd were to cause a powerful seismic attack infront of Wolfstar, Wolfstar can absorb that information and thus it becomes a new Memoria that Wolfstar can use. Are Memorias the actual person? No, Memorias are just the physical manifestation of a memory of said person through the eyes of the user. For example, if Wolfstar knew Blaidd as a loving and kind protector, he would appear as a loving and kind protector — the unknown aspects of Blaidd that Wolfstar wouldn't know about wouldn't be part of the Memoria. If a Memoria is used, would the real person know about it or feel it? If a Memoria is used, the real person will feel "signs" of it — nothing painful or anything, just a hint of 'happiness'. The best descriptions of this feeling are 'happiness', 'dopamine', and 'calmness' — some even say it feels like a wave of assurance washes over them. For example: During a brief battle, Wolfstar summons Aurelion Sol from a previous exploration and has Aurelion cast a powerful meteor spell. Later on, Aurelion later asks Wolfstar if he used a Memoria of him — Wolfstar says yes with Aurelion chuckling feeling a sense of calmness when it happened.

Wolf of Dreams Dialogue I wanted to write :3 [The towering anthro werewolf tightens the straps on his armor, resting one claw on his greatsword before glancing at the hooded figure.] Star (Lobito): "Well, Death… it’s been a pleasure meeting you. But if there’s no further business, I’ll be taking my leave. Best not to linger in your shadow any longer—" Death: "…Espera, Lobito. Just one moment." [The chamber stills as his voice rumbles, calm but sharp. Each word drips with finality.] "You wander these lands with no map. No scent to guide you. What you need… is an Alpha." Star (Lobito): "A-Alpha?! What do you mean, ALPHA?! I don’t need anyone! I’m fine being a lone wolf… well— with my team, obviously!" [He stammers, franticly trying to cover his wagging tail. Death chuckles, the sound cold and cutting.] Death: *"Heh… relax, Lobito. Keep your title if it makes you sleep at night. Lead your little pack. But remember…" * [He leans in, his red eyes narrowing like a predator about to strike.] "…an Alpha who barks too loud loses the respect of the pack." [Death straightens, cloak shifting as though alive, before casually stepping into the party’s ranks.] "Besides… you’ll find me useful. Another hunter. Another blade. Another end." ❤️ Cosmic: "He’s right! More damage dealers, more fun! Right, Blaze?" [Cosmic hops in excitement, clearly unfazed by the tension.] Blaze: *"R-Right! …even if it is literally Death himself…" * [Beads of sweat form across Blaze’s face as he grips his staff tighter.] [The screen warps, edges darkening as black mist curls around the party menu. Death’s voice overlays the system text, his whistle faintly audible like steel being drawn.] Death (System Message): "Heh… Death has joined your party." "And with me… comes something new." [Scarlet text slashes across the screen.] "Deathly Finish — a dance of claws and scythe. Star and I, side by side, cutting the battlefield until nothing remains but silence." [The screen flickers, his voice low and final.] "Remember this, Lobito… no matter how the story plays out—" [He steps back into shadow, grin sharp and merciless.] "—I will always be the one who finishes it."
