☀️Enigmatic Anime☀️ Summer of Solace Edition🌻

Nana Toshi Monogatari: Hokkyokukai Sensen Penned by the legendary Yoshiki Tanaka, father of Legend of the Galactic Heroes, this anime could've been it's worthy younger sibling. But alas, it's only a somewhat proof of concept, with just 2 episodes, albeit successful. Post post-apocalypse setting with cutthroat political shenanigans among 7 city states, WW2 era High Seas Capital Fleet action and a budding personal rivalry between two commanders. Sounds like a recipe for success that was never to come. Very interesting OSTs, distinctly 90s in all the good ways, but also, somehow feels like they very well could've come from games like Metal Gear Solid, Metal Slug or some others. I'm sure you all know by now how I glaze 90s anime in the art style department, so I'll spare you the details. Tl;dr - it's good. Fun fact, this anime had a manga adaptation in 2017, as if testing waters for a reboot, like LoGH had, but nothing came after it. In all honesty, it's a good one. I recommend it.
