The Cloudflare posted a blog explaining the incident: On 18 November 2025 at 11:20 UTC their network began experiencing major traffic routing failures. They traced the root cause to a permissions change on a database that caused a feature-file for their Bot Management system to double in size, exceed a built-in limit, then propagate across the network and crash the traffic-handling software. By about 14:30 UTC core traffic had largely recovered and all systems were normal by 17:06 UTC. They use smartphone microphones, car park assist sensors, and some clever DSP and control to transform 40-gram toy drones into mosquito killers. Mosquitoes kill 700,000 people every year through malaria, dengue, and Zika. Current control methods are expensive and ineffective. Tornyol's drones 🔫 send ultrasonic pulses, detect the unique wing-beat Doppler signature of mosquitoes, then intercept and eliminate them. Just 10 drones could protect a square kilometer — cutting mosquito control costs by 100x.
