Key points about IBS paper 6 of CA Final: - This is a case study based paper. There will be 1 case study of 25 marks with theory questions based on it. - Case studies will be from real business scenarios like mergers, acquisitions, business strategy, working capital etc. - The paper will test the ability of students to apply concepts from all subjects like audit, direct tax, indirect tax, law, costing, FM, economics. - Initially the focus is more on costing as it provides the base. Gradually more concepts from other subjects will be tested. - The paper intends to test practical application of concepts to solve business problems, not technical knowledge. - Questions will be application oriented and at a general level, not very technical or advanced. - The paper will be scoring with about 40% weightage to MCQs. No lengthy computations expected. - Regular practice of IBS case studies is important for preparation. 7-10 case studies should be sufficient. - No separate coaching required if students have studied main subjects well already. IBS paper will test integrated application of concepts to solve business problems through a practical case study based format. About CA Final Paper 6 is the multi-disciplinary case study paper in the new CA syllabus •  ICAI has provided 8 case studies with questions covering topics like taxation, law, auditing, and costing. •  There is significant focus on taxation, especially direct and indirect taxes. Questions on provisions of Income Tax Act are asked. •  Questions on company law concepts like board resolutions, interim dividends, etc. are also asked. 📲The biggest lessons being an employee for 6 years have taught me: 1. HR is there to protect the company, not you. 2. Make sure to document everything. 3. Don't consider food as a reward for your work. 4. Perform at bare minimum, or else you will be rewarded with more work rather than hike. 5. Use all sick / other leaves. 6. Everything is replaceable. 7. Ask your managers to confirm anything over email. 8. Your health is more important than any job. 9. Many of your co called colleagues will talk about you in the backside for time pass communication. ( This is pakka 100% ) 10. Never stay at one job longer than 2-3 years. 11.
