[TSLA's Call Ratio Backspread exit] Hey Superinvestors, Quick update on our TSLA's CRB Trade. I will be closing my position tonight with at 90.3% profits on this trade. Actually it was a credit trade meaning to say we collect money for this trade when we initiated it. So the ROI is like erm... Infinite. But each trade does have risk hence we need to based it on the risk amt too. For those who initiated the trade, can i ask you to share your reflections and journey as couple of weeks, quite a number of you kept asking if we should cut loss but i kept reminding all of us to follow our plan and not deviate. In this case, it turned out to be profitable. Even if it is not profitable, and we follow our plans, we are still good investors. [5 things to watch this week 1 Jul] Hey Tribe, Do these 5 things this week! US Holiday 4th Jul is Independence Day, leading to lower liquidity and potential volatility as traders take time off. This might create smaller trading ranges due to low volume. ISM PMIs Monday and Wednesday will see the release of ISM manufacturing and services PMIs. Positive inflation data from last week means meeting expectations or industry expansion could rally the market. Missed expectations might lead to market softness. These releases at 10 am can impact active trading. JOLTS Job Openings Job openings measure economic strength. Softer-than-expected JOLTS data could cause a market sell-off due to a tightening labor market. Matching or beating expectations may rally the market, indicating a loosening labor market. FED News Two potential market movers: Fed Chair Powell's speech at an ECB panel on Tuesday and FOMC meeting minutes release on Wednesday at 2 pm Eastern. Both can cause short-lived volatility. Non-farm Payrolls and Employment Data Friday brings significant employment data, including Non-Farm Payrolls, Average Hourly Earnings, and the Unemployment Rate. [Nike Gapped Down > 10% - Consumer Disc Sector Weakening] Hey Tribe, The recent trend has been a "winter" for athletic brands like Nike, UA, SKX. This is an indication that consumer staples are slowing down and likely a slow down in economy - we studied this last week in sector rotation. For investors actively managing our portfolios, based on data, we should strategize and shift our portfolio accordingly. For 2nd half, i am putting a stop loss on all my positions of max draw down of 5%. This will allow me to have space for my positions to take a retracement and then continue to run and not get stop out easily. But if they do and all my positions get stop out, i will still secure a > 45% returns this year. The 5% will be a trailing stop loss which means as market goes higher, i will adjust it upwards, capturing my gain. The S&P is already up 15.42% and i think there is still room to go up. You can see it is not uncommon for S&P to go above 25% on good years, hence it is not difficult to make money, just remember to add risk management to KEEP the money I will be sharing more this Sat at the AI Quant Trading to optimize these returns! [Sharpe Ratio ~ Investors' Trade Off] Hey Tribe, My Portfolio is up by 51.96% ytd. And this is how I will manage the market for 2nd half. Btw I think there are some Superinvestors' results that surpasses mine (which I am extremely jealous... dont let me find u...) Jokes aside - as an investor, making money is easy, what is difficult is keeping the money and not get swipe out. An indicator we should look at is the Sharpe Ratio. Sharpe Ratio helps to consider the risk vs the returns. I.e how much risk this investor is taking compared to the returns he/she makes. My current portfolio Sharpe Ratio is 3, if you have a higher ratio than mine, please comment below with a screen shot and i have surprise gift for you!
