[#LigtasDLSU: Academic Calendar Shift Survey] Hello, Lasallians! The recent class and work suspensions due to the COVID-19 surge brought about the need to adjust our academic calendar. This is to ensure that the disruptions in the calendar are remedied. The Academics Council of the De La Salle University administration has come up with two possible plans with regard to the adjustment of the calendar. The University Student Government, then, is releasing this Academic Calendar Shift Survey for the purpose of collecting the general sentiment of the Lasallian students about how they prefer to move forward with our academic calendar. [#LigtasDLSU: Academic Policy Proposal] For the past two years, the Lasallian community has dealt with numerous challenges brought about by the COVID-19 pandemic. As we enter another year of being forced to adapt to the online setting, the unforeseen imposition of lockdowns, sudden surges in cases, and unanticipated restrictions are already the norm. It is then imperative that we become responsive to the call of the times and act accordingly to serve our constituents. With the uncertainty of the impact of the pandemic and other calamities on our daily lives, the USG has remained steadfast in lobbying for fair and compassionate academic policies that will best cater to the students’ needs.
