Over time, as children grow older, the relationship they have with their parents changes. In your opinion, what role should parents have in their adult children’s lives?
Children’s all needs—from food to their education—are covered by their parents, between their infancy and by the time they turn 18, as they are dependent, and this is the very parental responsibility of fathers and mothers. However, this has to change at some point in life; every little bird has to leave his nest to build his, so relationships have to change. It does not mean that this is the finish line of a parent's care and support for their beloved ones, as they now need to help their offspring navigate life with their wisdom and guidance.
Children evolving into adulthood change the role of parents, from just a breadwinner and a carer to people who guide and nurture their adult child with their experience and knowledge gained throughout life. This, however, requires them to be very careful because they would not want to put their adult children’s autonomy in jeopardy. So, communication is one of the most important aspects when it comes to dealing with grown-up children. In other words, parents now should use talking technique rather than ordering one to effectively support their adult children, respecting and taking their opinions into account and offering advice and help. For example, when an adult child makes a mistake, now parents can share their experience of the similar incident that happened in their life and try to draw a proper conclusion instead of telling what to do directly.
Later on in life, both adult children and their parents understand that they have this interdependence on each other so that they both need to focus on building mutual respect and avoid having major conflicts. As the reverse may result in broken relationships between children and their parents, putting extra pressure on the new members of society and making things even more challenging to grasp, especially when the real world seems chaotic and the most help and support is needed from the elders of the family. Although examples of such cases are quite frequently seen in western cultures, it is becoming normal to hear spoilt children mess up their lives—immediately getting divorced after getting married or suffering addiction to certain substances just after starting a big life—all of which partially can be a result of misdirecting and lack of support by the parents of those.
In conclusion, parental roles can change their nature as children grow older, only putting more serious responsibilities on the former and requiring them to be more cautious, or else the latter can find it difficult to start their new journey.

Some feel that individuals today spend too much time following political news while others feel politics deserves greater attention.
Discuss both sides and give your opinion.
Online media has revolutionized the way people keep up to date with the news; politics is no exception. Some people are concerned that we are consuming too much political news, while others say it should remain a central topic of our daily lives. Although consumption of considerable amounts of political news can raise some concerns, information overload being an example, I believe individuals should be encouraged to get their political literacy to the next level with contemporary ways possible.
It is sensible to see people spending a substantial amount of their time following political news. As it is clear, the media raises whatever is controversial, politics being all the time best. With people being connected to their electronic devices, especially living their lives on social media platforms, they tend to suffer the impact of media bias. This eventually leads to political polarization, as it fosters partisan politics among society.
However, in my view, public awareness of political affairs remains the very civic responsibility of each individual. It is because political engagement is a foundational pillar of democratic governance, and people need to keep up with current events, such as electoral processes or social activism. Especially social media offers a chance to raise public awareness and a place for political discourse where everybody can weigh in on the things happening around them.
In summary, an abundant supply of political news can sometimes cause individuals to feel overwhelmed or come to wrong conclusions in general; this should not prevent them from getting updated on the news of politics.
