An update on Moonwell Card. 🌜💳🌛 Cypher, the card provider powering Moonwell Card since December 2024, has been acquired by Nium and is winding down its card program. What this means for Moonwell Card: • Existing cards will remain usable until August 7, 2026 • New card funding is now disabled • Any remaining card balances must be withdrawn by September 6, 2026 Any positions opened through Moonwell Card’s Borrow & Load feature remain fully manageable in the Moonwell app. What’s next for Moonwell Card? We’re exploring new card partners so we can return with a new and improved experience. We’ll share more as this work progresses. Proposal to sunset Moonwell on Moonbeam. MIP-M45 is now live for onchain voting, supporting the orderly wind-down of Moonwell’s Moonbeam deployment. If approved, the proposal will withdraw available protocol reserves from selected Moonbeam markets, and pause new supplying and borrowing across all live Moonbeam markets - GLMR, xcDOT, xcUSDT, xcUSDC, USDC.wh, FRAX, ETH.wh, and BTC.wh. Withdrawn reserves would be used toward repaying bad debt. This proposal does not affect any market on Base, OP Mainnet, or Ethereum. Existing users should continue preparing for the Moonbeam network shut down by closing positions and withdrawing funds before July 31. Important: Moonwell on Moonriver The Moonriver network will sunset on July 31, 2026. If you use Moonwell on Moonriver, please withdraw any supplied assets before this date. This, along with the accompanying sunset of Moonwell on @MoonbeamNetwork, has no impact on Moonwell Base, Ethereum, or OP Mainnet markets.
