✅The initiative was announced at an event titled “India-UN for the Global South-Delivering for Development” in New York.

🛑ABOUT THE GLOBAL SOUTH👇
✅The term ‘Global South’ began by loosely referring to those countries that were left out of the industrialisation era or developing countries.
✅It broadly comprises countries of Africa, Latin America and the Caribbean, Asia & Oceania.
✅Many countries in Global South are in northern hemisphere, such as India, China and all of those in the northern half of Africa.
✅Australia & New Zealand, both in southern hemisphere, are not in Global South.
