DXY Weekly Recap May 4th - 8th 2026 : High of the week formed on Tuesday morning Low of the week formed on Wednesday morning. Why did price create the entire weekly range within 24h? The US-Iran war news on Wednesday accelerated the usual flow and speed of the weekly profile creating the opposite end on Wednesday instead of Thursday or Friday. How can we use this information? Thursday morning, using the logic just explained above, i expected price to gravitate back into the range since i knew that the weekly range was most likely capped to the downside. With a low resistance liquidity draw (LRLR) i expected to see a reaction from the +OB Open marked on the charts to take us up into the LRLR, at least. Using this idea, i shorted EURUSD once DXY tapped the +OB Open marked. With NFP on Friday (i don't trade this day) i expected choppiness after price reached above the LRLR so i exited my EURUSD position and called it a week.

15m Recap for Monday 4 May 2026 : Price completely ignored the +OB MT 4H and closed under the Green FVG mentioned earlier in the day. This is usually a sign that these levels could be used as inversion levels to target the opposite side which would have been successful today. Once the Iran news was shared, XAU used the old Bullish Green FVG as a bearish PD array to move lower towards the next +OB lower in the leg.

Good morning! Let's break down XAUUSD for the up and coming week : First of all, it's NFP week. Price is likely to consolidate if we don't receive any big war related news early in the week. We use the economic calendar to calibrate our expectations. It is not about getting the weekly profile right every single time, it's about having a framework to work within, which we can always adjust as the week progresses. On the charts, i want to see how price reacts from this + 4H OB MT inside the Green FVG after price moved under the weekly opening price. I am expecting to see some bounce from this level taking price up into the lower end of the Red FVG. If price closes under the OB MT and Green FVG convincingly going into tomorrow we will re-evaluate the idea and weekly profile.
