People forget that Icarus flew.
And those who laugh at him for flying too high, have never left the ground.

I am in a small box with nothing to do but train.
The only limit on how much I can punish my body, is how far my mind wills action.
Over and over and over.
There is no tomorrow.

Tristan says the same thing every time he’s handed a legal document.
Que Sera, Sera.
Then he throws it away.
In the end, we win.

The System is brutal and unrelenting, but innocent men do get their moment of glory in the end.

After the time my Dad fought three men, he would regularly say: “My unmatched perspicacity coupled with sheer indefatigability makes me a feared opponent in any realm of human endeavor.”
The premise is simple, if you PAY ATTENTION and NEVER QUIT, you are dangerous in ALL realms.
So let me ask you a question, “Do you accept the world is different now than it was in 1999?”
If the answer is yes (it better be), then you must accept the world changed between 1999 and 2026.
A smaller change. But a change nonetheless.
It is a combination of incremental changes year after year that has made the world such a vastly different place over time.
If you accept that the year 2050 will be different from the year 2026, then you must accept that this year will be different from the last year, just at a smaller scale.
This is where PERSPICACITY pays dividends.
The changes are smaller, and you must pay more attention, but THEY ARE THERE.
And if you notice them before they are glaringly obvious enough for the peasants to notice, you gain a massive competitive advantage.
THIS IS HOW YOU WIN.
The question is, “What will you do about it?”
Will you take massive action on the tiny changes in the world to enjoy monumental success?
Or will you sit around and wait for the changes in the world to be so glaringly obvious that there is no opportunity left to profit?
Some say, “The early bird catches the worm.”
Tate says: “My unmatched perspicacity coupled with sheer indefatigability makes me a feared opponent in any realm of human endeavor.”
This was my Dad’s eternal lesson.

For most people, injustice remains a distant abstract concept - a background noise - a problem in someone else’s life, until the system suddenly turns its weight against them.
We navigate the world assuming fairness is the default,
Ignoring the struggles of others becomes comfort which breeds indifference.

“Segregation, isolation, separation, cellular, lockdown, Supermax, the hole, Secure Housing Unit (SHU)… whatever the name, solitary confinement should be banned by States as a punishment or extortion technique,” said the United Nations Special Rapporteur on torture, Juan E. Méndez, to the UN General Assembly.

Today, after 62 days in jail, a member of staff rushed up to me with forms on how to use the phone.
I've been here for over 2 months without any access to a phone call and have been ignored every time I ask, but after this tweet, they panicked and brought me phone instructions within 30 minutes.
I should have had a phone call on day one.
Imagine every man held here before me.
If I were just a normal American citizen here without a global voice, they would have ignored me forever.
Is FDC where men get thrown in holes and can’t contact their families, based on accusations from another country? Events that supposedly happened 15 years ago?
This is how FDC Miami is treating American citizens being held in prison PRE-TRIAL. UNCONVICTED.
There are thousands of men in this building who do not have a large enough Twitter account to get their rights respected.
The jail is reading every post. They are afraid. They are breaking laws daily and they know they are.
It is time for somebody senior at @OfficialFBOP to visit and audit this facility URGENTLY.
Anyone who ignores what is happening here is culpable.
Most of the men in here, whether innocent or guilty of alleged crimes, are UNCONVICTED.
If it is innocent until proven guilty, there are innocent Americans in these conditions.
They have reduced my food to half a tray, stone cold. They’re trying to punish me.
I would never kill myself.

My food trays now come half full and stone cold.
FDC Miami is punishing me for my speech.

My Dad was a chess park hustler. He went into the parks and he'd sit down and say, “You go get ten minutes”. Then he’d play ten games simultaneously. Ten minutes each and he'd smoke them all for money.
He destroyed grand masters so badly that they took like a year away from tournaments. Genuine embarrassment.
No one wanted to work with him because it was a risk. His name was always feared.
‘Tate’ was a feared name.
He said, “If you want your name to matter, you have to make it matter.”
In his last year when we were sitting at the table, he was asking me, “Are you prepared for my death?” This was when I was in my 20s.
He was talking about me being the oldest son, carrying the torch.
He was talking about my responsibilities and duties. That I have to evolve and become a better version of him.
He told me that the most important thing I can do is to have children.
It is my duty to my father to be the man I am. I keep him alive and it is my sons’ duty to keep me alive forever.
My father's view of the world was primal and based on masculine edge.

If the Society for the Protection of Animals saw dogs being held in these FDC Miami conditions, they would protest and demand it be shut down.
Instead we have human beings, pre-trial, yet to be convicted of any crime.
The world will see what's being done here.
This will end.
302 767
If you or a family member has experienced illegal punishment while detained at FDC Miami, contact my lawyer Joseph McBride immediately.
I understand throughout the thousands of violations committed by this prison, the majority have been against people who are yet to be convicted of any crime - like myself.
The actions of this facility will be brought to light.

The problem with FDC Miami is an extension of the rot of modern culture as a whole.
You are rewarded here for doing the wrong thing.
Flood your cell? Fight a guard? Stab someone? Scream and yell? They will move you where you need to go, give you what you want, anything to shut you up.
If you follow the rules, show respect and behave you are treated the worst.
Ignored while they focus on the trouble makers.
This is the exact problem with modern society at large.
Follow the rules, do the right thing, pay your taxes - and you are endlessly crushed by regulators and authorities.
But if you’re homeless and repeatedly steal with no concern for the laws you are released on repeat and babied at the rule followers' expense.
GOOD behavior should be rewarded. Not trouble-making.
Why demand I flood my cell and light fires to give me my basic rights?
Why demand the worst of me?
Why not respect me for sitting in the SHU unit for 61 days in lotus position focusing on my breathing instead of losing my mind?
If any competent authority investigated this prison it would be closed the same day.
I have provided an evidence pack to my council Joseph McBride.
I would never kill myself.

The mother of my daughter was in a serious car crash. She is in hospital.
Since I came to FDC, I have not been afforded a single phone call in 60 days. Not one.
This is against the law.
In Romania, I had phone calls. Here, I have zero.
I asked the staff urgently for my first phone call in 60 days, to speak to the mother of my child who’s in hospital after a car crash.
They declined my call.
Walked away.
Nobody has been outside of my cell for 12 hours since, I have nobody to protest to.

You need to understand that my father raised us with duty for our last name. The highest expectations because our last name is ‘Tate’.
My Dad didn’t coddle me. He beat me when I fucked up, and I’m better for it. “I tell these boys the truth: life’s hard, stop crying, get tough”. That’s what a father does.
This was beneficial to me. It prevented me from doing detrimental things in my life.
He was a super principled man. He said I must analyse every firmly held belief I have, realize where it came from, who gave it to me, and whether they have my best interests at heart.
He lived in a scary and combative world where he was surrounded by enemies in his mind. He was paranoid, but he was reacting to the reality he lived in.
He had unfortunate incidents involving pure violence. He knew the world can become violent quickly. He told me that they are coming for me, like they came for him.
I remember vividly, I was about eight or nine years old. My father won a chess tournament. A low level one. He made like $3,000, or something, and he said, “Listen, son, the rent is paid and I either want 100 grand or nothing”.
So, we went to the casino and my Dad lost all the money.
On the way back we went to a gas station. I went to the back to the coolers and I opened them to get a drink. Then I heard all this noise. When I turned around, my Dad was fighting three men.
I don't know how the fight started. He had one of them up against the door and he was biting his face. The other two were punching my Dad in the back of the head.
I'm a kid and I just stood there like, “What the fuck”, and the Korean guy behind is shouting,
“Stop stop stop”.
I didn't know what to do, so I went to walk over and although my Dad was getting punched, although he's biting this guy, I remember him turning to me and shouting, “Stay there”.
Then he went back to biting the guy. I still don't know to this day how the fight started.
My Dad had blood on his face. Some from the guy, some from him. His eye was black. His eye socket got fractured. His eyes closed and bruised up.
We stood there and the Korean guy started panicking. The guys threatened to kill him as they left, “We're going to fucking kill you”, like gang bangers. Then he said to us:
“My store is damaged. Wait for the police. Wait for the police”.
I think my Dad was a bit disoriented. He never went down, but I could tell he was a bit dizzy. Dad stood there, in a military position, in the corner of the place, and waited for the police officer to come.
The police officer came and started doing reports. He asked what happened. The police officer said to my Dad, “So you fought these three guys! Okay, well, what's your job”?
My Dad said “I'm a chess player”, and the police officer said, “Well, maybe you should have been something else”.
Then Dad said “My unmatched perspicacity coupled with my sheer indefatigability makes me a feared opponent in any realm of human endeavor.”
I remember him giving this answer to the police officer. The police officer had a quizzical expression. His eyebrows were pulled down and together.
And that was a saying that my Dad started using then on after, and I adopted it.
That's the only time I ever saw him fight, that he didn't win. I mean, he got fucked up, but he didn't go down. He dealt with all three of them, and they ran, and he was left in the end.
My father was a super unique individual. You have to imagine a big black guy. A physically dominating, dangerous guy who's a chess genius.
He was also extremely condescending. But I understand why he was the way he was. When you're wired like he is, everyone else is a moron.

I have prepared a package, currently with my legal and PR teams, of every single infraction I have witnessed in this facility. The corruption, the lack of recreation, the filth, the unsanitary conditions.
ANYONE who has previously complained against this facility can contact my legal team. I understand they have tortured thousands of people, and all of them were not even treated as badly as I am being treated.
There is no ambiguity here - what is happening to me is against the law.
There is absolutely no reason for FDC to be treating men this way, whether they are American citizens or otherwise. They are deliberately torturing me.
The Romanians treated me better than this.
To all Main Stream News outlets, if you want to understand why this facility received thousands of complaints, I have the story and the proof - contact my team immediately.
I would never kill myself.
