| 8 | 🌹Why do I see solo sexual practice as connected to the Goddess mysteries?🌹
For me, solo sexual practice is not simply a practice of sexuality or pleasure. It can become a path of transformation.
When we begin to turn our attention inward and practice with ourselves, we very quickly encounter everything within us that is not yet in agreement with this process — shame, beliefs, expectations, fears, old patterns, and things that have been held in the body through our personal biography.
The practice begins to bring these things into awareness.
And this is where transformation begins: not by forcing anything to change, but by feeling, listening, allowing and gradually releasing what no longer belongs to us.
Over time, something begins to shift.
Self-acceptance becomes self-listening.
As our capacity to feel becomes more refined, we begin to hear ourselves in subtler and subtler ways — through emotions, thoughts, sensations, impulses and eventually through something that exists beyond words: our own inner energy.
We begin to develop a deeper sense of self-affinity — a natural, effortless connection with the deeper energetic places within ourselves.
And this, for me, is one of the meanings of the Rose.
The Rose carries the principle of self-affinity: the capacity to remain deeply connected to ourselves without force, without performance, without having to become someone else.
As this inner connection develops, something else becomes possible: receptivity.
We become more able to receive — sensation, pleasure, emotion, energy, life itself — without immediately needing to control, judge or change it.
And this is where I see the connection to the Goddess.
For me, the Goddess is not simply an image or an archetype. She represents qualities such as self-affinity, receptivity, embodied presence, inner knowing and the capacity to receive life deeply.
This is why I see solo sexual practice as one possible path into the Goddess mysteries.
Not because sexuality is the destination.
But because when we turn toward ourselves with awareness, our sexuality can become a doorway into a much deeper relationship with ourselves.
I am having a strong call to let Rose sisters dive into this journey.
