What keeps the sun spinning?
Nothing keeps the sun spinning. The sun spins under its own inertia and does not need any help to keep it going. Isaac Newton observed that objects in motion tend to stay in motion. This is called the Law of Inertia. It means that if an object is already moving and nothing acts on it to stop it, the object will just keep moving under its own inertia.
For instance, a hockey puck sliding across the parking lot will only stop if it hits a wall or if there is enough friction acting on it to slow it down to a stop. Without an external force like friction, the puck will slide forever under its own inertia.
The Law of Inertia is just a conceptual statement. The more general and more mathematical version of the Law of Inertia is called the Law of Conservation of Momentum. It states that the total momentum of an object stays constant if nothing acts on the object.

An object traveling at high speed across a very long distance appears to be moving slowly when viewed from far away. This is not a psychological effect. The object is actually traveling very slowly when its speed is expressed in terms of the percentage of the total distance it has to travel.

How do icebergs lose their salt?
Icebergs do not have any salt to begin with. Icebergs are not pieces of frozen ocean water. Rather, icebergs are frozen chunks of fresh water that began their life on land. It all starts when snow falls in a region of land that is too cold for the snow to melt.
Over time, the non-salty snow builds up on the ground. Without temperatures warm enough to melt the snow, it piles up so high that it starts to crush under its own weight. The crushing force of gravity fuses the non-salty snow crystals into a giant slab of non-salty ice known as a glacier. This process is very slow and takes a long time. Gravity not only pulls the snow down into the ice, it also pulls the ice downhill.
