Ten Hag: “Everyday I demand a performance. I don’t accept when it is lower. I will criticise them [#mufc players] and I will tell them what I expect - I have to give the team solutions on how to win a game. The performance [vs West Ham] second half was much better.”

Ten Hag on ‘going hard’ on the team at half-time vs West Ham: “What I saw was that we were not playing along our standards, that’s what I saw in the first-half. Then I will be tough to my team, my players, because I demand a performance.”

Ten Hag on the chance for #mufc to win at Anfield for the first time in seven years: “I think away from home we’ve had really good performances. It’s no different; the pitch is the same size, the ball is round, there’s air in the ball, eh! We have to play and make it our game.”

Ten Hag asked about Liverpool’s struggles this season: “It’s not my responsibility. I have enough to do with #mufc, that’s where I’m putting all of my effort in.”

Ten Hag: “I think our mentality in general is very good. I think we have many leaders who sets the mentality, who sets the standards, controls the standards, who correct if necessary. We are happy with this process, but we can always be better and that has to be the approach.”

Ten Hag on playing Liverpool: “We know we have to suffer, we have to sacrifice to get a good result.”
