JUST IN: Amos Dangut assumes office as 14th WAEC Registrar
Plateau-born Nigerian, Amos Dangut, has officially assumed office as the 14th Registrar/Chief Executive Officer of the West African Examinations Council (WAEC).
Dangut took over on October 1, 2026, months after his appointment, according to a statement by WAEC Head of Public Affairs, Demianus Ojijeogu, at the Council’s headquarters in Accra, Ghana.

German motorists began paying less to fill their cars Thursday as fuel subsidies aimed at softening the impact of the Middle East war energy shock came into force.
