| 11 | Ein Prediger ist ein Vermittler des Wissens, kein Gelehrter. Das gilt selbst für einen Absolventen – erst recht für jemanden, der nie ein islamisches Studium absolviert hat.
Bei Gelehrten gelernt zu haben, ist eine Sache. Sich an ihre Stelle zu setzen, eine ganz andere.
Heute geben sich manche Prediger den Anschein, sie seien durch eigene wissenschaftliche Forschung zu ihren Ansichten gelangt. Sie prahlen damit, wie viele Bücher sie gelesen, bei wie vielen Gelehrten sie gesessen oder welche akademischen Titel sie erworben haben.
Doch all das macht niemanden zum Gelehrten. Es beweist lediglich, dass jemand Wissen weitergeben kann – nicht, dass er die Stufe erreicht hat, eigenständig Urteile abzuleiten oder den Gelehrten Konkurrenz zu machen.
Der Aufrichtige bindet die Menschen an die Gelehrten. Er sagt nicht: „Ich habe die Beweise geprüft und bin zu diesem Ergebnis gekommen“, sondern: „Die Gelehrten sagen …“ oder: „Mein Šaiḫ vertritt die Ansicht, dass …“
Daran erkennt man das Original von der Fälschung: Der Aufrichtige ruft zu den Gelehrten auf. Der Selbstdarsteller ruft – direkt oder indirekt – zu sich selbst auf. Wer die Menschen an seine eigene Person bindet, anstatt sie mit den Gelehrten zu verbinden, spielt eine Rolle, die ihm nicht zusteht. | 2 452 |
