Too many husbands/wives are cheating on thier partners around me. Is it becoming too common? Why is it happening? Why are people normalising sleeping with someone else despite being married?

Trust doesn’t break loudly. Sometimes it breaks quietly, one disappointment at a time.
Trust is what allows you to relax around someone.
To stop overthinking every word.
To stop wondering what they really mean.
To stop preparing yourself for the next hurt.
When trust is there, love feels lighter.
You can speak honestly.
You can be vulnerable.
You can be yourself without constantly wondering if it will be used against you later.
But when trust is broken, something inside you changes.
You may forgive.
You may stay.
You may even want things to feel normal again.
But your mind remembers what your heart is trying to move past.
So you notice more.
You question more.
You become careful with the parts of yourself you once gave freely.
That doesn’t mean trust can never return.
But trust is not rebuilt with apologies alone.
It comes back through consistency.
Through honesty when lying would be easier.
Through showing up when nobody is watching.
Through keeping small promises.
Through making someone feel safe repeatedly, not occasionally.
Because people eventually stop believing what you keep saying.
They believe the pattern.
And maybe that is the simplest truth about trust:
Trust is not built by the promises you make when you are afraid of losing someone.
It is built by who you continue to be after they decide to believe you again.

Maybe saving your life doesn’t look dramatic.
Maybe it begins the day you stop abandoning yourself.
It begins when you realize you are allowed to want more.
More peace.
More honesty.
More room to breathe.
You stop waiting for someone else to rescue you.
You start listening to the part of you that has been quietly saying,
“This is not enough for me anymore.”
You stop forcing what keeps hurting.
You stop shrinking your needs just to keep other people comfortable.
You stop confusing survival with happiness.
You let your body rest.
You let your heart tell the truth.
You let yourself choose what feels healthy, even if it disappoints someone.
You stop accepting crumbs just because you have been hungry for a long time.
You begin to understand that walking away is not always loss.
Sometimes it is the first sign that you finally believe your life can hold something better.
And healing often starts there.
Not when everything becomes easy.
But when you decide you will no longer make yourself smaller just to stay somewhere you have already outgrown.
The day you choose yourself without guilt may be the day your life quietly begins again.

Calm people are not calm because life is easier for them.
They’ve simply stopped giving everything access to their peace.
They don’t react to every little thing.
They give themselves a moment before answering.
They know that not every argument deserves their energy.
They stop trying to control what was never theirs to control.
They notice when their body feels tired, tense, overwhelmed, or drained.
And instead of ignoring it, they listen.
They rest without turning rest into guilt.
They say no without writing a long explanation.
They stop taking every silence personally.
They stop assuming every change in someone’s mood is about them.
They breathe before they respond.
They step away when things become too loud.
They understand that protecting their peace is not selfish.
It is necessary.
They also stop rushing their life just because everyone else seems to be ahead.
They know some things need time.
Healing needs time.
Clarity needs time.
Growth needs time.
And maybe the biggest difference is this:
Calm people do not wait for the world to become peaceful.
They learn how to stop creating a storm inside themselves over everything outside their control.
Peace begins when you stop reacting to everything that was never worth losing yourself over.

Sometimes, what feels like love is simply the relief of no longer carrying life alone.
Someone can need your softness.
Your stability.
Your patience.
Your ability to make difficult days feel lighter.
They can feel safe around you.
Calmer around you.
More hopeful because of you.
And all of that can feel incredibly close to love.
But being needed is not the same as being loved.
Love does not only arrive when someone is lonely.
It does not choose you because you can fix what hurts.
It does not make you responsible for another person's peace.
Real love sees you beyond what you provide.
It cares about your tired days too.
Your needs too.
Your dreams too.
Your boundaries too.
You deserve a relationship where you are not just the safe place someone runs to.
You deserve someone who also becomes a safe place for you.
Someone who doesn't only love how much easier life feels with you.
Someone who loves you.
So remember this:
Do not confuse being someone's relief with being someone's choice.
The right love will not only feel safe in your arms.
It will make sure you feel safe there too.
