Tranquility came down
💎Al-Bara' reported that a person was reciting Surat al-Kahf and there was a horse tied with two ropes at his side, a cloud overshadowed him, and as it began to come nearer and nearer his horse began to take fright from it.
He went and mentioned that to the Prophet ﷺ in the morning, and he (the Holy Prophet ﷺ) said:
"That was tranquillity which came down at the recitation of the Qur'an."
«تِلْكَ السَّكِينَةُ تَنَزَّلَتْ لِلْقُرْآنِ»

| 2 |  "Pray in your homes..."
🔹 Narrated Nafi':
Once on a very cold and stormy night, Ibn Umar pronounced the Adhan for the prayer and then said, "Pray in your homes." He (Ibn Umar) added, "On very cold and rainy nights Allah's Apostle ﷺ used to order the Mu'adh-dhin to say, 'Pray in your homes.'"
«إِنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ ﷺ كَانَ يَأْمُرُ الْمُؤَذِّنَ إِذَا كَانَتْ لَيْلَةٌ ذَاتُ بَرْدٍ وَمَطَرٍ يَقُولُ: أَلَا صَلُّوا فِي الرِّحَالِ»

| 3 |  🔹Narrated Aisha رضي الله عنه :
The Prophet (ﷺ) said, "If a woman gives in charity from her husband's house .." The Prophet (ﷺ) also said, "If a lady gives meals (in charity) from her husband's house without spoiling her husband's property, she will get a reward and her husband will also get a reward likewise. The husband will get a reward because of his earnings and the woman because of her spending."
«إِذَا أَطْعَمَتِ الْمَرْأَةُ مِنْ بَيْتِ زَوْجِهَا غَيْرَ مُفْسِدَةٍ، لَهَا أَجْرُهَا، وَلَهُ مِثْلُهُ، وَلِلْخَازِنِ مِثْلُ ذَلِكَ، لَهُ بِمَا اكْتَسَبَ، وَلَهَا بِمَا أَنْفَقَتْ

| 4 |  "Where are the kings.."
🔹 Narrated Abu Hurairah رضي الله عنه:
The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said: "On the Day of Resurrection Allah will hold the whole earth and fold the heaven with His right hand and say, 'I am the King; where are the kings of the earth?'"
«يَقْبِضُ اللَّهُ الْأَرْضَ يَوْمَ الْقِيَامَةِ، وَيَطْوِي السَّمَاءَ بِيَمِينِهِ، ثُمَّ يَقُولُ: أَنَا الْمَلِكُ، أَيْنَ مُلُوكُ الْأَرْضِ؟»

| 5 |  🔹 Narrated Abu Hurairah رضي الله عنه:
The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said: "The invocation of anyone of you is granted (by Allah) if he does not show impatience (by saying, 'I invoked Allah but my request has not been granted.')"
«يُسْتَجَابُ لِأَحَدِكُمْ مَا لَمْ يَعْجَلْ، يَقُولُ: دَعَوْتُ فَلَمْ يُسْتَجَبْ لِي»

| 6 |  🔹 Narrated Al-Aswad:
That he asked `Aisha, "What did the Prophet ﷺ use to do in his house?"
She replied,
"He used to keep himself busy serving his family and when it was the time for prayer he would go for it."
«كَانَ يَكُونُ فِي مِهْنَةِ أَهْلِهِ – تَعْنِي خِدْمَةَ أَهْلِهِ – فَإِذَا حَضَرَتِ الصَّلَاةُ خَرَجَ إِلَى الصَّلَاةِ»

| 7 |  🔹 Narrated Abu Hurairah (رضي الله عنه):
Allah's Messenger ﷺ said: "When Allah completed the creation, He wrote in His Book which is with Him on His Throne, 'My Mercy overpowers My Anger.'"
"لَمَّا قَضَى اللَّهُ الْخَلْقَ، كَتَبَ فِي كِتَابِهِ، فَهُوَ عِنْدَهُ فَوْقَ الْعَرْشِ: إِنَّ رَحْمَتِي غَلَبَتْ غَضَبِي."

| 8 |  🔹 Narrated Sahl ibn Sa'd (رضي الله عنه):
The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "I and the one who looks after an orphan will be like this in Paradise," showing his middle and index fingers and separating them.
"أَنَا وَكَافِلُ الْيَتِيمِ فِي الْجَنَّةِ هَكَذَا"، وَأَشَارَ بِالسَّبَّابَةِ وَالْوُسْطَى، وَفَرَّجَ بَيْنَهُمَا شَيْئًا.

| 9 |  🔹 Narrated Abu Huraira (رضي الله عنه):
The Prophet (ﷺ) said:
“Iman has over seventy branches, and modesty is a branch of Iman.”
" الإِيمَانُ بِضْعٌ وَسَبْعُونَ شُعْبَةً، وَالْحَيَاءُ شُعْبَةٌ مِنَ الإِيمَانِ ."

| 10 |  🔹 Narrated Abu Hurairah (رضي الله عنه):
Allah's Messenger ﷺ said: "By Him in Whose Hand my life is, it is better for anyone of you to take a rope and cut the wood (from the forest) and carry it over his back and sell it (as a means of earning his living) rather than to ask a person for something and that person may give him or not."
"وَالَّذِي نَفْسِي بِيَدِهِ، لَأَنْ يَأْخُذَ أَحَدُكُمْ حَبْلَهُ فَيَحْتَطِبَ عَلَى ظَهْرِهِ خَيْرٌ لَهُ مِنْ أَنْ يَأْتِيَ رَجُلًا فَيَسْأَلَهُ، أَعْطَاهُ أَوْ مَنَعَهُ."

| 11 |  🔹 Abu Musa reported that a house was burnt down in Medina during the night over its inhabitants. When their matter was reported to Allah's Messenger ﷺ, he said:
"This fire is an enemy of yours. So when you go to sleep, extinguish it."
"إِنَّ هَذِهِ النَّارَ إِنَّمَا هِيَ عَدُوٌّ لَكُمْ، فَإِذَا نِمْتُمْ فَأَطْفِئُوهَا عَنْكُمْ."

| 12 |  "And her too?"
🔹 Narrated Anas ibn Malik (رضي الله عنه):
Allah's Messenger ﷺ had a Persian neighbour who made excellent soup. He prepared some for Allah's Messenger ﷺ and then came to him to invite him to eat. He (Allah's Messenger ﷺ) said, "and her too," referring to 'Aisha.
The man said "No," so Allah's Messenger ﷺ then said "No." He returned later to invite him again, so Allah's Messenger ﷺ said "and her too."
The man said "No," so Allah's Messenger ﷺ then said "No." He returned another time to invite him and Allah's Messenger ﷺ said, "and her too."
The man said yes on this third occasion, and they then stood eagerly to go out together to the man's home.

| 13 |  🔹 Narrated Abu Hurairah (رضي الله عنه):
Allah's Messenger ﷺ said: "The most awful name in Allah's sight on the Day of Resurrection, will be (that of) a man calling himself Malik Al-Amlak (the king of kings)."
"أَخْنَى الْأَسْمَاءِ عِنْدَ اللَّهِ يَوْمَ الْقِيَامَةِ رَجُلٌ تَسَمَّى مَلِكَ الْأَمْلَاكِ."

| 14 |  🔹 Narrated Abu Hurairah (رضي الله عنه):
The Prophet ﷺ said: "When a man has two wives and he is inclined to one of them, he will come on the Day of Resurrection with a side hanging down."
"مَنْ كَانَتْ لَهُ امْرَأَتَانِ فَمَالَ إِلَى إِحْدَاهُمَا، جَاءَ يَوْمَ الْقِيَامَةِ وَشِقُّهُ مَائِلٌ."

| 15 |  🔹 Narrated Jarir bin ‘Abdullah (رضي الله عنه):
The Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) said: "He who shows no mercy to the people, Allah, the Exalted and Glorious, does not show
mercy to him."
« مَنْ لَا يَرْحَمُ النَّاسَ لَا يَرْحَمْهُ اللَّهُ عَزَّ وَجَلَّ »

| 16 |  🔹 Narrated Anas ibn Malik (رضي الله عنه):
Allah's Messenger ﷺ said: "The Paradise is surrounded by hardships and the Hell-Fire is surrounded by temptations."
"حُفَّتِ الْجَنَّةُ بِالْمَكَارِهِ، وَحُفَّتِ النَّارُ بِالشَّهَوَاتِ."

| 17 |  🔷️ Narrated Abu Huraira (رضي الله عنه):
The Prophet (ﷺ) said:
"(Allah said) Every good deed of Adam’s son is for him except fasting; it is for Me and I shall reward (the fasting person) for it. Verily, the smell of the mouth of a fasting person is better to Allah than the smell of musk."
"كُلُّ عَمَلِ ابْنِ آدَمَ لَهُ إِلَّا الصَّوْمَ، فَإِنَّهُ لِي وَأَنَا أَجْزِي بِهِ، وَلَخُلُوفُ فَمِ الصَّائِمِ أَطْيَبُ عِنْدَ اللَّهِ مِنْ رِيحِ الْمِسْكِ."

| 18 |  🔹 Ibn 'Abbas reported that when the Messenger of Allah ﷺ fasted on the day of 'Ashura and commanded that it should be observed as a fast, they (his Companions) said to him:
"Messenger of Allah, it is a day which the Jews and Christians hold in high esteem." Thereupon the Messenger of Allah ﷺ said: "When the next year comes, God willing, we would observe fast on the 9th." But the Messenger of Allah ﷺ died before the advent of the next year.
...سَمِعْتُ عَبْدَ اللَّهِ، بْنَ عَبَّاسٍ - رضى الله عنهما - يَقُولُ حِينَ صَامَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم يَوْمَ عَاشُورَاءَ وَأَمَرَ بِصِيَامِهِ...
.."فَإِذَا كَانَ الْعَامُ الْمُقْبِلُ إِنْ شَاءَ اللَّهُ صُمْنَا الْيَوْمَ التَّاسِعَ".

| 19 |  Ashoora (10th of Muharram)
🔹 Narrated Ibn `Abbas:
The Prophet (ﷺ) came to Medina and saw the Jews fasting on the day of Ashura. He asked them about that. They replied, "This is a good day, the day on which Allah rescued Bani Israel from their enemy. So, Moses fasted this day." The Prophet (ﷺ) said, "We have more claim over Moses than you." So, the Prophet fasted on that day and ordered (the Muslims) to fast (on that day).

{And remind them of the days of Allah}
* Scholars, preachers, and teachers must remind people of the "Days of Allah"—those days in which He granted victory to His believing servants, saved them from their enemies, and destroyed the tyrannical oppressors.
Among the Days of Allah is... the Day of Ashura (the story of Pharaoh's destruction and its lessons).
* Likewise, parents must teach their children the story of Pharaoh’s destruction on Ashura using an engaging, simplified approach, a dynamic understanding (Fiqh al-Haraki'), and an enthusiastic, interactive method.
📚 Allah the Almighty says:
> "And We certainly sent Moses with Our signs, [saying], 'Bring out your people from darknesses into the light and remind them of the days of Allah.' Indeed in that are signs for everyone patient and grateful."
> *(Surah Ibrahim, [14:5])* ...
