The other day, my brother told me about this conversation he had with one of our cousins, they placed a hypothetical situation and asked my brother what he would do if someone said a lewd remark about someone he cared about, and my brother said he'd probably have a verbal confrontation, and if it escalates then he'll defend the loved one. My cousin said that my brothers response was feminine and lacking in ig "manliness" and that the correct response was to immediately physically intimidate the guy. While the reaction might seem "noble" the reality is, its completely selfish to react this way, youre only trying to boost your ego and masculinity, you dont actually care about protecting a loved one, you just care about the public image that you might gain from it, if you truly did care, then you would probably think about how you could make your loved one more comfortable, considering that a lewd remark would obviously make them feel weird and uncomfortable ❤️‍🩹 idk

Nothing makes me more sad than a woman unhappy with her marriage, especially since our society places heavy emphasis on taking care of the house, glamourizing how fulfilling it is to be married, how much love you'll recieve from your husband. Most women are groomed to be perfect wives, thats why whn they get married, they have high expectation, only for those expectations to be met by the reality that highkey most men genuinely are raised to be selfish, and ignorant of how their behaviour might affect people
