The question and accompanying advice submitted by some of the sisters in Canada to our Shaykh, Abū Ḥamzah ʿĪsā al-Muṣannif, will, inshā’ Allāh, be uploaded shortly on both the Shaykh's Official English Channel and the SALAFI WOMEN Channel. https://t.me/Salafiwomen4

- Perseverance upon righteousness. Trust, once broken, often takes time to rebuild. Sometimes Allaah reunites hearts. Sometimes His wisdom decrees otherwise. In every case, His decree contains the greatest khayr. 8. Before You Sleep Tonight When the night becomes quiet... When you are lying alone upon your bed... Away from the noise of the world... Ask yourself: - Have I been sincere with Allaah? - Have I fulfilled the rights of my spouse? - Have I appreciated the blessings Allaah entrusted to me? - Have I wronged anyone through my words, actions, neglect, or ingratitude? - Have I sought forgiveness from Allaah and from those whose rights I violated? - If tonight were my last night, would I be content to meet Allaah in this condition? A believer does not merely regret what has passed. Rather, he transforms regret into sincere tawbah, humility, self-reform, and a determination not to repeat the same mistakes. True success is not winning an argument or protecting one's pride. True success is meeting Allaah with a heart that is sincere and free from oppression toward His servants. 9. Remember the Grave One day... Your spouse... Your children... Your family... Your wealth... Your reputation... Will all remain behind. You alone will enter your grave. You alone will face the questioning. You alone will stand before Allaah. Allaah says: «"Know that the life of this world is but play, amusement, adornment, boasting among yourselves, and competition in wealth and children..." (Sūrah Al-Ḥadīd 57:20)» And He says: «"The life of this world is nothing but the enjoyment of delusion." (Sūrah Āl ʿImrān 3:185)» This worldly life is brief and temporary. The homes we build... The arguments we win... The pride we cling to... The grudges we refuse to let go... Will all come to an end. What will remain are our deeds, our sincerity with Allaah, our treatment of His creation, and whether we fulfilled or neglected the trusts that He placed upon our shoulders. A Final Reflection Sometimes the greatest khayr is that Allaah reunites two hearts after sincere repentance, mutual forgiveness, and genuine reform. At other times, the greatest khayr is that He does not, because His wisdom encompasses what His servants cannot perceive. Allaah says: «"Perhaps you dislike a thing while it is good for you, and perhaps you love a thing while it is bad for you. Allaah knows, and you do not know." (Sūrah Al-Baqarah 2:216)» The believer therefore measures success differently. Success is not merely receiving another chance. Success is:⤵️ - Returning sincerely to Allaah. - Fulfilling the rights of His servants. - Protecting the sanctity of marriage. - Appreciating blessings before they disappear. - Raising righteous children. - Seeking the pleasure of Allaah above all else. Therefore, let every night be an opportunity to renew your repentance, correct your shortcomings, seek forgiveness, restore the rights of those whom you have wronged, and repair what can still be repaired before a day comes when regret will no longer benefit anyone. Wherever Allaah places the greatest khayr, that is where the believer ultimately finds peace, contentment, and success in this life and the Hereafter. https://t.me/Salafiwomen4

Yet they forget that the person listening may themselves be experiencing: - Personal trials. - Emotional distress. - Family difficulties. - Unresolved grievances. Such circumstances may unintentionally influence their judgment. Advice given during emotional moments can lead to decisions that carry lifelong consequences. Marriage is a trust. Its private affairs should only be shared when there is a genuine need to seek counsel from trustworthy people known for: - Knowledge. - Wisdom. - Justice. - Sincerity. - Fear of Allaah. Allaah says: «"O you who believe, if a wicked person comes to you with news, verify it, lest you harm people out of ignorance and then become regretful for what you have done." (Sūrah Al-Ḥujurāt 49:6)» How much greater is the need for caution when the preservation of a marriage and family is at stake. 4. Violence Never Repairs Hearts Responding to marital problems with aggression, intimidation, harshness, or violence does not resolve the issue. Rather, it often produces: - Resentment. - Fear. - Emotional distance. - Broken trust. - Greater division. True reform comes through: - Sincere repentance. - Patience. - Honest communication. - Justice. - Returning to the guidance of the Qur'an and the authentic Sunnah. As one respected brother and caller to Allaah may Allaah grant him success and increase him in goodnessbeautifully reminded us, believers should strive to maintain good thoughts about their brothers and sisters and avoid rushing to conclusions after hearing only one side of a matter. 5. Justice Is for Both Husband and Wife Harm within marriage is not always physical. Sometimes it is: - Emotional. - Verbal. - Psychological. - Manipulative. Both husbands and wives may experience suffering. Neither should be ignored. Allaah says: «"Indeed, Allaah commands justice, excellence, and giving to relatives, and He forbids immorality, wrongdoing, and transgression." (Sūrah An-Naḥl 16:90)» Justice requires fairness toward both spouses. Every Muslim possesses rights that Allaah has honoured, and every act of oppression will be accounted for before Him. 6. The Home Shapes the Next Generation When a husband and wife strive to fulfill one another's rights sincerely for the sake of Allaah, showing gratitude, patience, mercy, justice, and good character, the fruits of that righteousness extend far beyond themselves. The home becomes a place where faith is nurtured, noble manners are cultivated, and the remembrance of Allaah is honoured. Children constantly observe: - How their father treats their mother. - How their mother treats their father. - How disagreements are handled. - How forgiveness is shown. - How gratitude is expressed. Parents teach with their actions long before they teach with their words. By Allaah's permission, children raised upon the Qur'an and the authentic Sunnah, surrounded by justice, mercy, gratitude, and mutual respect, may become righteous servants of Allaah who benefit themselves and others. Perhaps Allaah will make them from among the future callers (duʿāt) to His religion, seekers of knowledge, scholars, teachers, or righteous Muslims who guide others through their speech, actions, and exemplary character. Indeed, one of the greatest legacies parents can leave behind is not wealth or worldly status, but righteous offspring who worship Allaah alone, uphold His religion, and continue to benefit the Ummah long after their parents have returned to Him. This is among the greatest forms of ongoing reward by the permission and grace of Allaah. 7. Repentance Is Greater Than Regret Many people seek another opportunity. But regret alone is not enough. Allaah says: «"Say, 'O My servants who have transgressed against themselves, do not despair of the mercy of Allaah. Indeed, Allaah forgives all sins. Indeed, He is the Most Forgiving, the Most Merciful.'" (Sūrah Az-Zumar 39:53)» True repentance requires: - Sincerity. - Humility. - Correcting one's character. - Restoring people's rights where possible.

You Never Truly Appreciate What You Have Until It's Gone بسم الله الرحمن الرحيم Many people speak about second chances in marriage, yet few pause to reflect upon the reasons that led to regret in the first place. Before asking whether another opportunity should be given, every husband and wife should first ask themselves: - Did I fulfill the rights that Allaah entrusted to me? - Did I appreciate the blessing that was in my hands? - Or did I only recognize its value after it had slipped away? One of the greatest causes of regret is taking a spouse's kindness, patience, loyalty, sacrifices, and sincere efforts for granted. A husband or wife may quietly endure hardship for years, overlook faults, make duʿā' for their spouse, strive to preserve the family, and continue serving their household while receiving little appreciation in return. Then, when the marriage begins to crumble or comes to an end, regret suddenly replaces negligence. 1. Marriage Is Built Upon Kindness Allaah, the Most High, says: «"And live with them in kindness (maʿrūf)." (Sūrah An-Nisā' 4:19)» Kindness within marriage is not optional; it is a command from Allaah. It includes: - Gentle speech. - Patience during hardship. - Gratitude. - Mercy. - Justice. - Forgiveness. - Fulfilling the rights of one's spouse. Although this verse directly addresses husbands, the broader teachings of the Qur'an and the authentic Sunnah establish that kindness, gratitude, and righteous companionship are obligations upon both spouses. A believing wife likewise strives to live with her husband in a manner that pleases Allaah by showing respect, gratitude, loyalty, sincerity, patience, and good character while fulfilling his rights. Unfortunately, some people quote this verse only when discussing the rights of wives while overlooking the responsibilities owed by wives to their husbands. This is not the balanced guidance of the Qur'an and the Sunnah, which establish rights and responsibilities for both husband and wife. Allaah's wisdom is perfect and all-encompassing. A righteous husband who fears Allaah, works diligently to provide for his family, fulfills his obligations, protects his household, shows compassion, and often goes beyond what is merely required should not have his efforts overlooked or taken for granted. Likewise, a righteous wife who strives to obey Allaah, safeguards her home, supports her husband, nurtures her family, and patiently fulfills her responsibilities deserves appreciation, gratitude, honour, and respect. Marriage flourishes when both spouses recognize that every act of kindness is a blessing from Allaah. The husband should not belittle the sacrifices of his wife, nor should the wife belittle the sacrifices of her husband. Gratitude, appreciation, and mutual kindness strengthen love, whereas entitlement, neglect, and ingratitude gradually erode it. Allaah beautifully describes the relationship between husband and wife: «"They are clothing for you and you are clothing for them." (Sūrah Al-Baqarah 2:187)» Just as clothing provides comfort, protection, dignity, warmth, and concealment, each spouse should become a source of tranquility, honour, mercy, emotional support, and protection for the other. 2. Never Take Your Spouse for Granted One of the greatest causes of regret is failing to appreciate the blessings that Allaah has placed in one's life until they are gone. Taking your husband or wife's kindness, patience, loyalty, and hard work for granted does not make you right. It is not an excuse before Allaah, nor is it something with which He is pleased. Allaah says: «"If you are grateful, I will surely increase you; but if you are ungrateful, indeed My punishment is severe." (Sūrah Ibrāhīm 14:7)» Gratitude preserves blessings. Ingratitude often becomes the beginning of regret. 3. Guard the Privacy of Your Marriage Many spouses are quick to disclose the private affairs of their marriage or the shortcomings of their husband or wife.

How a Righteous Wife Cultivates a Righteous Home and Marriage Allah سبحان وتعالى says in the Qur'an: فَالصَّالِحَاتُ قَانِتَاتٌ حَافِظَاتٌ لِّلْغَيْبِ بِمَا حَفِظَ اللَّه > So righteous wives are devoutly obedient, guarding in [the husband’s] absence what Allah would have them guard.” Surah An-Nisa (4:34) Righteousness does not mean perfection. Rather, it is a journey of sincerity, intentional effort, and beautiful reliance on Allah in the day to day life marriage. Qualities of a Righteous Wife Devotion to Allah First A wife’s ultimate strength stems from her connection to her Creator. When challenges arise in marriage, turning to Allah through sincere dua and prayer brings unmatched stability, peace, and clarity. Guarding Trust and Privacy (Al Amaana )righteous wife acts as the fortress of her home. She protects her husband’s honor, keeps the secrets of the household private, and responsibly manages their affairs and children. Being a Source of Tranquility (Sakinah) The Sunnah shows us that a righteous wife is a sanctuary of comfort. Just as Khadijah (May Allaah be pleased with her) reassured the Prophet ((ﷺ)) during his most difficult moments, a wife brings peace to her home through hard times The Tongue: A single word of sincere appreciation can transform a day. Saying, “JazakAllahu khayran for your hard work and taking care of us.” carries immense weight. The Eyes: Look at your spouse with contentment and avoid comparison. Trust that Allah’s decree in choosing your partner contains perfect wisdom and mercy. Action: Nurture peace in your physical surroundings. Keep the house clean, tidy, and smelling beautiful, and ensure his clothes are always clean and well-kept. Even small acts of care invite tranquility into the home. Always prioritize Dua Over Dispute: When tension rises, pause Seeking Allah in sujud (prostration) softens hearts and resolves what arguments cannot. Respect His Rest: Allow your husband time to unwind and recharge after he finishes what he is doing the whole day before introducing heavy or stressful topics. A rested mind is much more receptive, understanding, and patient. Forgive as You Hope to Be Forgiven: Mistakes are inevitable in marriage. Concealing faults and pardoning reflects the ultimate mercy we hope to receive from Allah. "O Allah, make believing women the coolness of their husbands' eyes, and make their husbands the coolness of their eyes. Rather, he should be even more concerned for his daughters and sons alike regarding their religion, modesty, chastity, beliefs, and moral conduct amidst the widespread indecency and corruption that have become commonplace in many societies today. Indeed, safety is not merely the safety of the body; rather, the greatest safety is the safety of one's religion. Wealth can be replaced, and worldly losses can be recovered, but if a person's religion is lost, what remains for him? We ask Allah to preserve the Muslims, safeguard their families and offspring, guide them to that which is most pleasing to Him, and grant them steadfastness upon Tawheed and the Sunnah until they meet Him. https://t.me/Salafiwomen4

بسم الله الرحمن الرحيم Indeed, among the many consequences of residing in the lands of disbelief (بلاد الكفر) is that even Muslim women and children are often exposed to dangers, harms, and circumstances from which they are not always protected. At times, one hears of tragic incidents involving Muslim families, incidents that grieve every believer's heart. The reality is that choosing where to live is a decision for which every person bears responsibility before Allah. Many people justify remaining in non-Muslim societies by claiming that they are unable to establish themselves in the lands of Islam. However, Allah سبحانه وتعالى makes clear to His servants that every choice carries consequences, and every path leads to its outcomes. Allah, the Most High, said: ﴿يَا أَيُّهَا الَّذِينَ آمَنُوا اتَّقُوا اللَّهَ وَانظُرْ نَفْسٌ مَا قَدَّمَتْ لِغَدٍ﴾ "O you who believe! Fear Allah, and let every soul look to what it has sent forward for tomorrow." (Surah Al-Hashr 59:18) The issue is not merely one of physical safety. Rather, the greater concern is the preservation of one's religion, faith, morals, and family. The environments of the non-Muslim societies are built upon values, customs, and systems that often oppose the teachings of Islam. Constant exposure to such environments, unrestricted mixing, and the influence of surrounding cultures can gradually affect a person's religion, whether they realize it or not. The Prophet صلى الله عليه وسلم said: «أَنَا بَرِيءٌ مِنْ كُلِّ مُسْلِمٍ يُقِيمُ بَيْنَ أَظْهُرِ الْمُشْرِكِينَ» "I am free from every Muslim who resides among the polytheists." (Reported by Abu Dawud and At-Tirmidhi) Many people believe they can preserve themselves and their families without being affected, but the reality often proves otherwise. The influence of the surrounding environment is powerful, and the effects may appear gradually over time in one's beliefs, manners, dress, identity, and attachment to Islam. Allah سبحانه وتعالى said: ﴿وَمَن يَتَّقِ اللَّهَ يَجْعَل لَّهُ مَخْرَجًا ۝ وَيَرْزُقْهُ مِنْ حَيْثُ لَا يَحْتَسِبُ﴾ "And whoever fears Allah, He will make for him a way out, and provide for him from where he does not expect." (Surah At-Talaq 65:2-3) Furthermore, many Muslim parents find themselves restricted by systems that limit their authority over their own children. Matters of upbringing, education, discipline, and moral guidance are often regulated by laws and institutions that may not align with Islamic principles. In contrast, although Muslim countries may have shortcomings and imperfections, the Muslim generally possesses greater authority and influence over the upbringing of his family and children. Likewise, the concern is not merely one of moral corruption or religious dilution. Even in some of the wealthiest Western societies, innocent Muslims have fallen victim to violence and crime. Cases have occurred where young Muslim men, women, and even daughters from respectable families have lost their lives due to shootings and gang-related violence despite having no involvement in such affairs. Such incidents remind us that worldly security is never guaranteed, and that the believer's concern should extend beyond physical safety to the preservation of faith, honour, modesty, and righteous upbringing. No land is perfect, and every country has its trials and deficiencies. However, there is a vast difference between living where Islam is openly practiced, where Tawheed and the Sunnah are apparent, where the Adhan is heard, where Islamic values are recognized, and where a believer finds assistance in obedience to Allah, and living in societies founded upon other beliefs and values. Allah سبحانه وتعالى said: یَـٰعِبَادِیَ ٱلَّذِینَ ءَامَنُوۤا۟ إِنَّ أَرۡضِی وَ ٰسِعَةࣱ فَإِیَّـٰیَ فَٱعۡبُدُونِ }﴾ "And My earth is spacious." (Surah Al-'Ankabut 29:56) A believer's concern should not be limited to whether his son may be harmed physically.

We will soon have a special word of advice and encouragement from our noble Shaykh, Al-Qāri’ Abū Hamzah ʿĪsā Al-Muṣannif (حفظه الله). The Shaykh is among the distinguished scholars and Qur’ān reciters of Yemen, widely recognized for his care and dedication to the Qur’ān, its recitation, and its teaching. He is from the students of our Shaykh Muqbil ibn Hādī Al-Wādiʿī (رحمه الله) and our Shaykh Yaḥyā (حفظه الله). The Shaykh is currently based in Ṣanʿā’, where he teaches and benefits the people through his masjid and lessons. Unfortunately, due to the oppression and hostility shown towards Ahlus-Sunnah by the Houthis, we have not been able to visit him there. However, by the favor of Allāh, the Shaykh periodically visits us in Seiyun at the Markaz of our Shaykh Yaḥyā, allowing the students and community to benefit directly from his knowledge and guidance. We first met the Shaykh several years ago. Among the notable aspects of his upbringing was the righteous cultivation he received from his mother, a woman well known in Dammāj for her piety, steadfastness, and concern for raising her son upon istiqāmah and adherence to the Sunnah. When she passed away, the impact of her righteousness became evident, as numerous scholars and mashāyikh of Ahlus-Sunnah throughout Yemen conveyed their condolences and spoke of her goodness and virtue. This serves as a powerful example of the tremendous role a righteous mother plays in nurturing future scholars and callers to the truth. She was a shining example of a Salafi woman whose efforts bore fruits that continue to benefit the Ummah. The Shaykh himself has devoted considerable effort to the cultivation, rectification, and education of Muslim women, and it is evident that this concern was greatly influenced by the righteous example, care, and nurturing he received from his mother. May Allāh have mercy upon her, reward her abundantly for her efforts, and preserve the Shaykh upon goodness and benefit for Islām and the Muslims. Coming up shortly, in shā’ Allāh. https://t.me/Salafiwomen4
