SOME, ANY, NO – три слова, які постійно плутають
На перший погляд усе просто, але на практиці помилки трапляються регулярно
✅ SOME – використовуємо в позитивних реченнях.
I have some money.
She bought some books.
А ще SOME використовуємо в запитаннях, коли ми щось пропонуємо або просимо:
Would you like some tea?
Can I have some water?
❓ ANY – використовуємо в запитаннях і негативних реченнях.
Do you have any questions?
I don't have any money.
She didn't buy any books.
🚫 NO – має негативне значення, але саме речення будується як позитивне. Дієслово без заперечення.
I have no money. (= I don't have any money.)
There is no milk in the fridge. (= There isn't any milk.)
Це важливий момент: якщо використовуєте NO, не треба додавати ще одне заперечення. Ніяких I don't have no money – це вже неграмотно.
Загальне правило:
Позитивне речення → SOME
Питання або заперечення → ANY
Заперечення без NOT → NO
Ваша черга: There aren't ___ apples left. – Some чи Any? 👇
