a friend of mine applies to freelance jobs almost every day, barely any replies looked at his proposals, they were fine, just... generic. could've been sent to any client, for any project told him to try mentioning one real thing from the job post before anything else his reply rate doubled within a week, nothing else changed sometimes it's not your skill holding you back, it's proving you actually paid attention @Hamz_tech

"The ladder of success is never crowded at the top." — Napoleon Hill, Think and Grow Rich everyone wants success. everyone talks about it. everyone has a plan, a vision, a dream board. but the top is empty. why? because most people quit before it gets uncomfortable. they stop when it gets hard. when it gets lonely. when it takes longer than they expected. when nobody is clapping yet. the road to the top is not blocked by competition. it is emptied by people who gave up right before they arrived. your only real competition — is your own willingness to stay when everyone else leaves @Hamz_tech

found a short video worth watching on pricing your work — ties right into what we covered this week check it out here: https://youtube.com/shorts/TxeEzZvVGUc?si=UaVecK4FUa2sgQ97

if a plumber fixes your leak in 10 minutes because he's done it 1000 times, do you pay him less because it was fast? no — you pay for the leak being fixed, not the time it took that's how pricing should work for freelancers too. charge for solving the problem, not for how many hours you spent on it say your price clearly and don't shrink when you say it — that matters more than the number itself @Hamz_tech

finding your first client is like a chef's first customer — no reviews yet, no photos of past dishes, just the food itself and a willingness to serve someone waiting for the perfect portfolio before reaching out is backwards, the portfolio usually comes from the first client, not before them start with people who already know you, offer something smaller if the full ask feels too big, and just actually ask directly instead of waiting to be found the first client isn't about the payment, it's about creating your first real proof

if you froze your income today and had to freelance tomorrow, would you actually know how to find your first client? that's the part most people miss — the work itself is usually the easy part, finding clients and handling irregular income is the actual shift a job pays you the same whether business is slow or busy, freelancing pays based on what you actually bring in skill alone doesn't make freelancing work, the business side does — marketing, sales, systems, everything we've covered so far freelancing isn't a job without a boss, it's running a small business @Hamz_tech

if you disappeared for a week, would your channel/business still run the same way, or would everything fall apart because it's all in your head? that's the difference a system makes — steps you don't have to relearn every single day right now most of what i do isn't written anywhere, just memory and mood this week i'm actually writing it down: when i post, how i check what's working, when i follow up on messages if you're building anything solo, the thing draining you might not be the work itself, it might be redeciding the same stuff every day @Hamz_tech

"Whenever a friend succeeds, a little something in me dies." — Gore Vidal, 1973 he didn't say enemy. he said friend.😞 and the most uncomfortable truth about this quote is — it's not about bad people. it's about good people. your people. the ones who genuinely care about you. but when you win, something in them quietly breaks. not because they hate you. but because your success holds up a mirror to everything they haven't done yet. and that mirror is unbearable. they don't celebrate you fully. they change the subject. they find a small flaw in your achievement. they say "yeah but—" they go quiet in a way that feels wrong. they never wished you to fail. they just didn't expect you to succeed. and now that you have — they don't know what to do with themselves. don't be angry at them. understand them. they are fighting a war inside themselves that has nothing to do with you. but also — don't slow down for it 💪 @Hamz_tech

checked my numbers for the first time in weeks here's what i actually look at: how many people saw it, how many reacted or commented, and whether it got any replies compared this week's posts against last week's — some topics clearly did better than others, not random, an actual pattern point is, you don't need to guess if something's working. look at 3 things: views, reactions, replies. compare week to week, not post to post, numbers bounce too much day to day that's literally the whole lesson today. stop guessing, start comparing if this one's useful, a like or share actually helps me see what's working too 🙏 @Hamz_tech

low-budget marketing is like growing a garden instead of buying flowers — slower, but it keeps giving without needing more money every time no ad budget just means trading money for time and consistency instead what actually works with zero budget: show up consistently, message people directly, engage in real communities, ask happy customers to share trust built for free often converts better than reach bought with ads @Hamz_tech

would you hire someone who fixed your house just because they said "I'm experienced and reliable"? probably not — you'd want to see actual photos of houses they've fixed that's the same thing clients want from a freelancer — proof, not adjectives show real work, even small: a before/after, a short testimonial, a specific result proof beats claims, every single time @Hamz_tech

marketing a tech product is like showing someone a car by explaining the engine specs instead of just letting them feel how smooth the ride is most people don't care about the technology, they care about what changes for them "cloud-based real-time inventory system" — confusing "know exactly what's in stock without counting anything by hand" — instantly clear sell the outcome first, explain the mechanism only if they ask @Hamz_tech

which one sticks in your memory longer — "we offer expert-led coding education," or a story about someone who almost gave up, then landed a job three weeks later? that's the whole point of storytelling in marketing — facts get forgotten, stories don't the shift is simple: stop being the hero of your own posts, let your customer be the hero, you're just the guide who showed up at the right time show the struggle, show what changed, show the result — skip the resume #Storytelling @Hamz_tech

why do some channels seem to grow on their own while yours feels stuck at the same number? usually it's because they didn't start on autopilot either — the first 100 people almost always came from someone personally inviting them, one at a time no shortcut here: message people you know who'd genuinely benefit, show up in relevant spaces, invite directly we're at 94 right now — if this channel has ever actually helped you, sharing it with one person who'd benefit gets us to 100 faster than anything i could do alone 🙏 the first 100 is the slow, manual part — everything easier comes after, not before @Hamz_tech

one tutor sent the same dm to every new follower: "hey, interested in lessons?" — barely any replies another referenced something specific about the person, plus one useful tip, no ask attached — replies came in noticeably more often same channel, same intent, completely different result — because one felt personal and the other felt copy-pasted a dm is a personal space, treat it like one, not a smaller version of a public post #Email/DM_Marketing @Hamz_tech

imagine walking through a crowded market — most signs say "quality products, affordable prices" and you just walk past then one sign says "buy 2 shirts, get 1 free today only" — you stop and read it that's copywriting — words written to make someone actually stop and pay attention, not just inform them vague words get ignored specific words get read say the real thing, plainly, and people notice #Copywriting @Hamz_tech

one builder posted the exact same long telegram post directly onto X, expecting similar engagement — barely got noticed another rewrote the same core idea as a short, punchy thread built specifically for X's format — engagement picked up noticeably, same idea, different delivery this is called social media marketing done right — matching the platform, not just copy-pasting across all of them telegram rewards direct and consistent, x rewards short and sharp, linkedin rewards credibility, tiktok rewards a fast hook — same message, shaped differently everywhere it goes #Social_media_marketing @Hamz_tech
