According to reports from Tehrik-e-Taliban Ghazwa-e-Hind (TTG), a faction associated with Ittehad-ul-Mujahideen Pakistan (IMP), combatants executed an ambush against a military convoy in Garyum, North Waziristan, on August 10. The group stated that security forces faced multiple casualties during the incident. One fatality within the Frontier Corps has been confirmed resulting from the attack. The deceased individual has been identified as Sepoy Hussain, from 242W Badar Rifles, a resident of Karak.

According to Tehrik-e-Taliban Pakistan (TTP), TTP has arrested and killed individual allegedly involved in the killing of Commander Zabal, who was killed on 29 June in Ambar, Mohmand district. According to TTP, the alleged Spy identified as Razitullah was arrested after information given by TTP's intelligence TIA, from shati mina area of Ambar Tehsil while he brought construction equipment to build military checkpoint in the area.
