لقد أهلكتُ نفسي في انتظارِ ما لم يكن لي، وأضعتُ من عمري ما لا يُستعاد، أُراهنُ على أمنيةٍ كلّما اقتربتُ منها ابتعدت، وكلّما ظننتُها لي كشفت لي الأيامُ أنّها لم تكن سوى وهمٍ نسجتُهُ من شدّةِ ما تمنّيت. حتى أدركتُ أنَّ بعضَ الأشياءِ لا تُؤخذُ بالإصرار، ولا تُنالُ بكثرةِ الانتظار؛ فما ليس لنا، وإن طال التعلّقُ به، سيبقى خارجَ أيدينا. وأنَّ أقسى الخيباتِ ليست أن نفقدَ ما أحببنا، بل أن نكتشفَ أنّنا أضعنا أنفسنا ونحن ننتظرُ شيئًا لم يُكتب لنا. ولعلَّ النجاةَ أن نتعلّمَ متى نترك، ومتى نكفُّ عن انتظارِ ما لا يأتي، ونمضي دون أن نلتفتَ خلفنا.

She sits in the corner of the room, embracing the long silence, gazing into the void with a heart brimming with untold stories, eagerly awaiting the day when this darkness will lift, allowing the sun of hope to shine once more in her weary soul and life to return to the quiet details of her day.
